Jodi Montgomery is quoted in legal documents, according to TMZ, as stating: ‘Mr. Spears’s removal as Conservator is critical to [Britney’s] emotional health and well-being and in the best interests of the conservatee.’
‘I have had numerous, ongoing conversations with the medical team and we all agree that it would be best for Ms. Spears’ well-being and mental health that her father stop acting as Conservator,’ Montgomery also said.
Montgomery, an experienced conservator with a degree in social welfare, was brought on to co-manage Britney’s affairs in September 2019, when her father Jamie Spears became ill.
Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart added in the documents that, not only is Jamie harmful for the pop star’s mental health, he is also damaging the health of her estate.

Last month Matt Rosengart filed a motion to have Jamie removed and have Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Jason Rubin appointed in his place.
If the request is granted, Rubin would be given financial authority to manage Britney’s estate and assets as well as the powers of attorney to make health care decisions.

In June, the Toxic singer gave an emotional, 23-minute testimony during a hearing in a Los Angeles court where she pleaded with Judge Brenda Penny for freedom by ending the 13-year conservatorship she’s been under.
The last time Spears spoke directly to the judge was in May 2019, but the court was closed to the public and her testimony was sealed, and details of her mental health have never been disclosed.
In the shocking testimony, Britney admitted: ‘I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy. It’s a lie. I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized. Fake it ’til you make it, but now I’m telling you the truth, OK? I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m depressed. I cry every day.’
