Chrishell Stause Notices Same Red Flags on Exes Justin Hartley and Koe Motsepe

The ‘Selling Sunset’ star reveals in her new book, ‘Under Construction’, that she called it quits with the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro after noticing the same red flags that she found in her ex-husband.

AceShowbizChrishell Stause is not going to make the same mistake twice. In her new book, “Under Construction”, the “Selling Sunset” star revealed that she called it quits with ex Koe Motsepe after noticing the same red flags that she found on her ex-husband Justin Hartley.

“Did I learn from my mistakes after Justin? Well, when it comes to love I’m still a work in progress,” the 40-year-old star wrote. “I did fall for another love bomber not long after my divorce, and we were quickly heading toward real commitment.”

Of the “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer, Chrishell said that he’s a “tall dancer” who started off as an “amazing, positive, generous guy.” However, things went south after the “honeymoon phase” ended.

“This time, instead of making excuses for his behavior, I actually opened my eyes, pushed past the smoke and mirrors, and saw the truth,” Chrishell elaborated. “I’d gotten stronger, and as soon as I realized how deep his apparent lies went, I was the one who ended it.”

She said that she didn’t want to “rehash old wounds” and that she saw her past mistakes as lessons learned. “Being so far away from it now I can see that what happened [with Justin] was a gift,” the real estate agent said, referring to her public divorce from Justin. “Now I understand much more clearly how I deserve to be treated.”

“When someone is in love, it’s hard to convince that person that the relationship isn’t right. Even if he’s waving red flags like a bullfighter to everyone around you, you’re the girl striding right up to him, oblivious to any impending danger,” Chrishell said. “You’re too distracted and in your own world to listen.”

However, her hurtful past with the “This Is Us” actor helped her see more clearly in her relationship with Koe and when to end things. “While it hurt, I was able to put it all behind me quickly,” Chrishell wrote. “Before him, after a breakup I usually couldn’t eat or sleep, but this time was much different. I took care of myself, I kept busy, and I felt strong knowing that I’d done the right thing for me.”

“Instead of feeling sorry for myself after we broke up, I felt empowered,” Chrishell, who broke up with Jason Oppenheim earlier this month, added.

Chrishell and Koe first met in season 29 of “Dancing with the Stars”, in which she was paired with Koe’s best friend Gleb Savchenko. Chrishell and Koe confirmed their romance in early December 2020, though their romance was short-lived. It was unclear what happened, but sources told TMZ that the relationship has “run its course.”
