Claudia Winkleman starts her day with a coffee with 17 sugars in it

Claudia Winkleman reveals she starts her day with a coffee with 17 sugars in it ‘because life’s too short’ and ends it with a CBD oil bath… as she mounts a HORSE in new anti-stress campaign

Claudia Winkleman starts her day by drinking coffee with 17 sugars in it.

Detailing her daily post-lockdown routine, the 49-year-old mother-of-three revealed: ‘My day starts with a decaf coffee with about 17 sugars – because why not? Life’s too short.

‘Then I go and do the school run, come back, have a nap, and speak to about three of my girlfriends for quite a long time. After that I do a bit of work, reading out loud.

Sweet enough for ya? Claudia Winkleman starts her day by drinking coffee with 17 sugars in it

‘I might have a spray tan, I’ll talk to my parents, I’ll have an enormous lunch, then another nap. By then, it’s time to pick up the kids and try to help them with their homework.

‘I read all the time, then I’ll have a hot bath and take one of the Cannaray Bright Days CBD Capsules. After that, I get into bed… That’s my routine and it works for me.’

Claudia has partnered with Cannaray CBD – one of the UK’s leading CBD brands – after her cousin recommended CBD to help improve sleep and to cope with overall work and life pressures.

‘During lockdown, I was chatting to my cousin, Sara – super-hot, runs the music business – and she told me, ‘You should try CBD oil’. I was like, ‘What are you talking about?’

Ride on time: Claudia’s new campaign sees the broadcaster mounting a horse and flying a flag for CBD oil, in her usual quirky way

‘She uses Cannaray, and she sent me a bottle of the Cannaray Bright Days oil. I’ve never waited 30 seconds in my life, but I put it on [and waited for it to absorb]. Now it’s just part of my routine.’

The campaign sees the broadcaster mounting a horse and flying a flag for the brand, in her usual quirky way.

Last month, Claudia – who is the weekend presenter of the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show and the co-host of BBC One hit Strictly Come Dancing – hinted she might not be able to juggle both for much longer.

Speaking to the Going For Goal podcast recently, Claudia – who will present both shows live on Saturdays when Strictly returns in the autumn – said: ‘My mother taught me to find something I like doing, which I think I have…

She said: ‘During lockdown, I was chatting to my cousin, Sara – super-hot, runs the music business – and she told me, ‘You should try CBD oil!”

She added: ‘She uses Cannaray, and she sent me a bottle of the Cannaray Bright Days oil. I’ve never waited 30 seconds in my life, but I put it on [and waited for it to absorb]. Now it’s just part of my routine’

‘But I don’t know how long I’ll do it for!’

Claudia recently took over from Graham Norton as the presenter of the flagship Radio 2 breakfast show which is recorded a few hours before Strictly goes live on a Saturday night and she confessed she struggles with nerves.

‘The first episode of Radio 2 I could hardly speak. I get very nervous presenting Strictly as well, not because I think I am doing anything important, I am not a doctor or a nurse or a front-line worker, but you just don’t want to mess it up.’

‘But I love the Radio 2 listeners, what I love is that it’s immediate. But will I be nervous for the next year? Yes I think it will take that long if I am not fired.

Busy: She co-hosts the BBC One dancing series with long-standing presenter Tess Daly

‘If I am fired, I understand.’

Claudia told the podcast she’ll cope with her hectic schedule by getting plenty of rest.

‘I’ll stay in bed the rest of the week, I will, I’ll just do the school run. I am quite good at absolutely shutting down.

‘People say to me at the moment, “You’re busy” and I say, “I finish work at 1pm on a Saturday.” But when it steps up the rest of the time I’ll just protect.’
