Vanessa Bauer has reportedly been left “devastated” after she and Joe-Warren Plant were told they couldn’t return to Dancing on Ice.
Vanessa, 24, and Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren, 18, were forced to pull out of the series after they tested positive for Covid-19.
However, when it was revealed the show would be taking a week away from the live competition to allow skaters to recover from their injuries, after five stars dropped out of the show, there were reports the pair could return.
It was claimed at the time that if Vanessa, who apologised for complaining that she had “no Covid-19 symptoms, and Joe-Warren tested negative in time for training for the live show they could return.

However, it has now been claimed Dancing on Ice bosses have made a U-turn on their decision. Vanessa was reportedly told in an early morning call on Friday she wouldn’t be allowed back, leaving her reportedly feeling “angry and upset”.
It’s understood Vanessa felt “betrayed” by ITV bosses and feared she and Joe-Warren had been set up by some of her co-stars, who complained about the possible comeback.
A source has told The Sun Online: “Vanessa was absolutely devastated when she was told she wasn’t going back to Dancing On Ice. She was close to tears when she was explaining it.
“She was training with Joe at a rink on Friday morning to be ready for their return when they got the call.
“After the initial shock wore off Vanessa couldn’t hide her upset.
“She said she was confused as she was so sure they were going back.
“Vanessa wants a meeting to discuss what happened as it all feels a bit rushed. She said she felt she was being stitched up with Joe.
“She’s heard talk of favouritism and has been privy to hearsay about the other contestants moaning about it.
“It feels a bit like they’ve been stabbed in the back.”
Dancing on Ice declined to comment when contacted by OK! online. Vanessa's representatives are yet to respond.
Vanessa and soap star Joe-Warren had been early favourites to win the competition.
But, the pair were forced to forfeit their place in the competition after they tested positive for coronavirus in February.
In a statement, Joe-Warren confirmed his departure and said: “Having tested positive for Covid this now means the end of the competition for Vanessa and I.
