Davina McCall, 53, flaunts her incredible physique in a PVC metallic dress as she glams up for The Masked Singer semi-final

She has clapped back at trolls who told her that she was ‘too old’ for a glamorous dress. 

And Davina McCall looked incredible in a tight PVC dress and plaits before she joined her fellow judges for the semi-final of The Masked Singer on Saturday night.

The presenter, 53, shared a glimpse of her sleek look on Instagram before the show, highlighting her svelte physique in a one-shouldered silver metallic dress.

Davina channelled ‘elvish vibes’, by wearing her hair in braids at the top and letting the rest of her long locks drape down over her shoulders. 

She posed backstage ahead of joining Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and guest judge, Matt Lucas, on the panel trying to decide the identities of the mysterious characters.

The star thanked her hairdresser boyfriend Michael Douglas, 46, for her hairstyle, joking that she looked like a character out of Lord of the Rings.

Alexandra Burke wrote: ‘Beauty xxx’ while Rebecca Vardy commented some fire emojis, writing: ‘Wow you look INCREDIBLE’.

It comes as Davina hit back at a comment on Twitter last month which told her she was ‘too old’ for a stunning skin-tight white dress she wore on the show.

The woman had penned: ‘Old over sun-kissed woman should cover up … stunning dress but not for the wrinkly crinkly… demure for the mature.’ 

However Davina replied: ‘Really sorry. Absolutely no chance of demure over here sue… growing old disgracefully is far more fun,’ alongside cry laughing emoji. 

She also spoke about the exchange on her podcast, saying her first thought was ‘poor Sue’ when friends told her she was trending on Twitter.

The TV star said: ‘Somebody wrote something which I thought was quite funny, but she was like “you wrinkly, old haggard, shouldn’t be dressed like that, it’s not very demure”, and I just thought I’ll just send a funny message back going, “sorry Sue but have absolutely zero intention of growing old gracefully, demure is not for me” and left it at that.

‘Two of my friends messaged me and were like your trending on Twitter and I said why, I couldn’t ever remember writing it. And they said it was because of something you replied to. 

‘My first thought was “poor Sue, is she taking an absolute hammering?” Apparently she’s deleted her Twitter account. I feel terrible, I didn’t mean to. 

‘I’m just going to let people insult me from now on, it was meant to be a joke, that’s why I put her name in the reply.’

Davina has often spoken about her fun 50s, saying she ‘still enjoys orgasms’ and ‘feels like a foxy minx’ while walking round naked as well as revealing she has had her nipple re-pierced as she graced the cover of Women’s Health in August.

The presenter – who is mum to Holly, 18, Tilly, 16 and Chester, 13 – told Women’s Health: ‘I don’t look as good naked as I did in my twenties. But I feel better, and that’s the difference.

‘I walk around like a foxy minx now because I feel like a foxy minx. Women over 50 feel sexy… we still enjoy orgasms…

‘People say, “Oh, it’s all gone…menopause…you’re finished with your wizened, dried-up ovaries.” I feel like it’s really important to say that people in their fifties are having the time of their lives.’ 

The beauty is currently dating Michael Douglas after splitting from her husband Matthew Robertson in 2017, who is the father of her three children.

The new couple, who were friends for years before embarking on their romance, first announced their relationship in 2019.
