Denise Van Outen’s new man’s appearance in Tom Jones’ Sex Bomb video unearthed

Denise Van Outen's new man is quite literally a Sex Bomb, as he starred in Tom Jones' official music video for the song 23 years ago.

Jimmy Barba, 55, posed for photos with Denise in their first public appearance together as a couple at the Grand Prix Ball – but the Mirror has revealed that he was also the main love interest in the music video.

He could even be seen joining Tom on stage on the BBC's Top of the Pops, where he danced with three female dancers while Tom performed the song.

Denise's new partner grew up on a cucumber farm in the UK and starred in the 2010 Italian version of Big Brother, where he was in a relationship with a female contestant and finished fourth overall.

During his time on the reality show, it was reported that he was a dancer for Take That and Diana Ross, and he even had a short-lived pop career after Big Brother – releasing three singles between 2012 and 2013.

Denise, 48, made headlines earlier this year after her big split from long-term partner and fiancé Eddie Boxshall in January, but the actress and singer looked happier than ever as she shared shots of her night with Jimmy, showing them cuddled up at the event and dining with friends.

Following her split from Eddie, whom she was with from 2014, Denise revealed she was "learning" and "healing" with a therapist for the first time in her life, and so far it's really helping.

The Celebrity Gogglebox pair broke up after Denise discovered Eddie was sending sex texts to other women, and that she was left feeling "so broken" after the relationship ended.

Speaking with friend Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast, Denise revealed all about her relationship, saying: "It’s the worst. It’s horrible.

"It doesn't matter who you are or where you are it hurts just as deep."

The mum-of-one recalled how she'd spent late nights thinking and analysing what had happened, struggling to move on with her life.

"Those nights of just sitting there on the patio three/four o'clock in the morning feeling drained and empty," she continued.

"Thinking I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next week because I feel so broken, it’s horrible.

"It hurts. I couldn’t breathe, I phoned one of my friends one night and I felt like someone was sitting on my chest, literally could not breathe.

"You get that knot in your stomach, and it won't go, and you’re like 'When will this feeling leave me?'" the presenter went on.

But despite going through unimaginable pain over the last several months, Denise insisted she's getting back on track gradually.

"I'm good actually.. I'm not fully healed. I'm getting there," the TV personality told Fearne.

"I'm enjoying therapy. I'm learning so much about myself. That I hadn't even looked at myself properly," she added.
