EMILY PRESCOTT: Stanley Johnson speaks of the injustice of his son

EMILY PRESCOTT: Stanley Johnson holds court on the injustice of Boris’ ousting

Stanley Johnson was on boisterous form at the Boisdale lunch awards last week.

In an impromptu speech, the 81-year-old spoke of the injustice of his son’s downfall. But, rather shockingly, I also heard him joke about pinching people’s backsides. This was surprising in view of the fact that Boris was ultimately felled for promoting an MP despite being warned about the MP’s alleged sexual misconduct.

It was also unfortunate given that Tory MP Caroline Nokes has recently spoken out against Stanley for smacking her ‘about as hard as he could’ on her backside.

A world tour can be exhausting but Dua Lipa, 26, is making hers as relaxing as possible. The Cold Heart singer is taking her yoga teacher Annie Moves on tour with her to the US.

The Venezuelan yoga pro describes herself as a ‘movement facilitator’ and ‘energy sprinkler’, and while I have no idea what that means, I’m sure Annie will help keep Dua dancing.

The Royal first met Michael ‘Mick’ Fleming in January on a visit to Burnley. Mick, who’s now a pastor, tells me he was shocked when a phone call came in from the Palace. He thought it was the football team, Crystal Palace, calling! Mick says: ‘I’m thinking, what are a football team ringing me for? They said, “Well, it’s His Royal Highness!” and I’m thinking, “This is a dodgy call!” ’

Crush of the Week… Alex, bullrunner of Pamplona

Author Alexander Fiske-Harrison is nothing if not brave! Here he is (in striped jacket) risking his life taking part in the infamous Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, to raise sponsorship to fund girlfriend Klarina Pichler’s polo team, Las Sacras Romanas.

His selfless courage avoiding the stampeding bulls earlier this month wins him my Crush of the Week accolade. It turns out Alexander, 46, is no stranger to high jinks – the Old Etonian was once crowned the pupil summoned to the headmaster’s office the most times in the school’s history. Eton has since invited him back to give talks. ‘I was like wait, you invite me back after you cursed me? After you tried to expel me three times!’ he laughs.
