Emily Ratajowski addresses Celeste Barber’s ‘misogynistic’ posts and says she blocked the comedian for mocking her G-string photoshoot: ‘I’m not giving her my consent for this joke’

Emily Ratajowski has said she blocked Celeste Barber on Instagram because she didn’t ‘consent’ to being the butt of her jokes anymore. 

Two years ago, the Australian comedian, who is known for mocking celebrities, mimicked a photo taken by the supermodel. 

Celeste copied her racy photo, which showed her leaning against a wall in a skimpy bikini, and captioned it: ‘We are sick of objectifying our bodies! Also, here’s my ass.’ 

Some took exception to the caption, with many social media commenters calling Barber a ‘misogynist’ in their comments. 

It wasn’t the first time that the funny woman mocked Emily, but it was the photo that led to the My Body author blocking her on Instagram.

In her book, she speaks about others using her image for profit, and in a recent episode of her High Low podcast, the 31-year-old spoke about her ‘drama’ with Celeste. 

‘This whole drama with Celeste has been blown out of proportion,’ the 31-year-old said.

‘In general, I find her to be really funny. But, [the] message I was trying to send to her was, “I just don’t want you to do this to me anymore”.

‘I was like, I’m not giving her my consent for this joke anymore. It just landed at a specific time for me.’

The model added that while she has no bad feelings personally towards the comedian, she believes that making fun of women who put their bodies on display is inherently misogynistic. 

In a recent episode of her High Low podcast, the 31-year-old spoke about her ‘drama’ with Celeste.

‘We really love to pick on female influencers, like they are considered the trash, lamest, most cringe, most embarrassing people on the planet,’ she said.

‘I fundamentally find that to be sexist. Yeah, no s**t women want to be influencers – it’s one of the ways that women have learned to be successful and make money. They’re hustling.’

While Celeste received criticism for her images that mocked Emily, the Wellmania star said earlier this year that she has no regrets. 

‘I like running my mouth off. I do it a lot. I’m quick-witted – it’s one of my favourite things about me,’ she told Marie Claire last January. 

‘I don’t like that I feel I can’t do that as much, and yeah I do feel like I censor myself sometimes. But then other times I don’t give a f**k and I operate from a place of already being cancelled.

‘I mean good luck to them. You can’t win. They hate what you do one day, then you’re the greatest thing in the world the next day.’

While Celeste received criticism for her images that mocked Emily, with many agreeing that it was misogynistic, the Wellmania star said earlier this year that she has no regrets
