Love Island’s Teddy Soares’ ex-girlfriend has labelled him ‘arrogant and vacuous’ and said he has ‘no backbone.’

Teddy, 26, is a contender to win the hit ITV2 show with girlfriend Faye Winter, also 26, but his former flame Flora Waterhouse told The Sun there is ‘no way’ they will stay together due to their differences.

She is adamant he is faking his connection with the lettings agent because he once told her ‘he hated girls who were fake.’

Flora, 27, said Faye is the last girl she would expect her ex-beau to set his sights on as she told the publication: ‘I was surprised when he went for her, as he told me he hated girls who were fake, and loved the natural look.

‘He told my mum the same thing too. He would say he didn’t even like girls who wore loads of make-up.’

Teddy and Flora dated for one year – and those 12 months triggered some firm opinions on the financial consultant.

New love: Flora, 27, admitted Faye is the last girl she would expect her ex-beau to set his sights on: ‘I was surprised when he went for her, as he told me he hated girls who were fake’

She believes he has gone through his life ‘being told he’s gorgeous’, but doesn’t have the personality to ‘back it up’.

Going so far as saying he has no ‘b***s or a backbone’ despite his charming nature, Flora, from Reading, revealed that he hates not being in control of a situation.

Of his relationship with Faye, she said: ‘Maybe he genuinely likes her, maybe he’s just in it for the votes. But I don’t think they will last five minutes outside the villa. They definitely aren’t compatible at all.’

The real deal? 26-year-old Teddy is a contender to win the hit ITV2 show with girlfriend Faye Winter, also 26, but his former flame Flora Waterhouse told The Sun there is ‘no way’ they will stay together due to their differences

Love Island fans witnessed Teddy turning up the romance earlier on this week, asking Faye to be his girlfriend as they cosied up in a pool of rose petals.

The gesture did not leave Flora convinced and instead criticised Teddy for his lack of romantic deeds in ‘real life’.

Making her scrambled eggs was reportedly the most romantic he’d been during their relationship – and Flora joked they weren’t very good.

Claiming Teddy also ‘recycles’ his chat-up lines, Flora continued: ‘When he was telling Faye he wanted to ‘connect’ with her eyes on the show, I was cringing because he said the same things to me. I was besotted with him. He is gorgeous and very good at winning people over.’

It was then she admitted she realised over time that he was ‘arrogant and vacuous’ – branding him a ‘pretty little boy who sulks when he doesn’t get his own way.’

She dumped Teddy back in 2017 after he ‘demanded she return early from a holiday in Brighton’.

It was the final straw for Flora, who described dating him as ‘a waste of time.’

Ups and downs: Faye and Teddy’s journey on Love Island has been far from plain-sailing, most dramatically seen during her expletive-filled rant after seeing him confess to a ‘sexual attraction’ to Clarisse Juliette

Flora thinks the pair have what it takes to win but is firm in the fact Teddy’s head will be turned once he realises his popularity.

A source close to Teddy’s family said it’s a shame he can’t respond to the ‘mischaracterisation’ himself – and reinforced that the Teddy people are watching on the show is ‘the real him.’

MailOnline has contacted Love Island representatives for comment.
