With the connecting dropping off, she ended up using her phone data to watch the series – and using one’s internet data overseas can come at incredible costs.

‘I was so into Game of Thrones that once the baby was asleep I would be lying there watching episodes and falling asleep, not knowing the Wi-Fi would be dropping out and my data was on,’ she told The Herald Sun.

‘So I came back to Melbourne and it was close to half a million dollars in a phone bill. That was a scary time, I did not want to see that.’

Fifi admitted that the phone was also her work mobile, owned and paid for by Southern Cross Austereo.

Five years have passed since she got the awful bill, and Fifi never heard how the issue was resolved.

‘That was a chat with my boss that was not fun. I don’t know what happened after that. I just got asked to remember to turn my data off,’ she said.

Fifi recently revealed that she wants to be a role model for single mothers across Australia.

Speaking to Stellar magazine, the radio personality said that she’s proud to have her media platform to show diverse families to everyday Aussies.

‘It’s important to point out and educate that families come in all different shapes and sizes,’ she said.

‘Because I’m in the media and have a profile and platform, I’m able to shape and shift that, but it is frustrating,’ she added.
