‘I said I’m going to do the blue liner to myself since I’m the makeup artist today. And we sat down together, me, myself and I and it was really fun,’ the three-time Grammy Award winner said.

The scene then cut to a 360 degree view of Gwen in her show-stopping Met Gala ensemble. She was surrounded by members of her team ahead of making her appearance on the red carpet.

‘I hope there’s champagne in that thing,’ The Voice judge joked at the end of the clip.

‘I was a makeup artist myself back in the day,’ she told Vogue. ‘That said to me, ‘Get in the seat and do your makeup, Gwen Stefani.’

The star used her brand’s Line It Up 24-Hour Waterproof Gel Liner in Bathwater to create her winged eyeliner look.

For her nude lip look, Gwen mixed two new shades from her collection, Original Me Matte Lipstick in Tragic Me and Anaheim Shine Lipstick in Stomp Box.

Gwen attended the 2022 Met Gala as a guest of Vera Wang. She told Vogue, ‘I got a call that Vera wanted me to be her date, and I was just so honored that she chose me.

The No Doubt singer added, ‘She has such a distinct thing that she does that is so feminine, and I think ever since I met my husband, that part of me has really come out in my fashion more than ever—the femininity that I didn’t really embrace for a lot of years, just because of being in a band with all guys and being on stage.’

Gwen noted that Vera was the designer of the lavish tulle gown that the singer wore for her wedding to Blake Shelton last year.

‘Fashion and makeup are such an extension of our personalities and who we are at the time and who we want to be,’ Gwen said.

‘So this is in line with this amazing chapter of my life: getting married, being able to work with [Vera] on the wedding dress, and now this.’

Gwen told the fashion magazine that her enmseble, which included a bra top, long structured gloves and a billowing gown with intricate tulle bows around the waist, looked exactly as she had imagined it..

‘When I saw the dress in real life, the sketch came to life,’ she said. ‘It was exactly what the sketch looked like.’
