Pregnant Helen Flanagan has opened up about her anxieties as she prepares to give birth to her third child, admitting she’s trying hypnotherapy.
The former Coronation Street actress, 30, who is already mum to Matilda, five, and Delilah, two, with footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair, said that while her past two labours were “good”, she wants to try hypnotherapy – which induces a trance-like state to help focus on your mind – to help her nerves.
Sharing a snap of her blossoming bump at 33 weeks, Helen, who previously left fans convinced she was expecting a baby boy, wrote on Instagram: “Been a bit more quiet on social, now I’m at the end of my pregnancy it’s just made me feel quite tired.

“I’m someone who has loads of energy but just prioritising what I can at the moment. Matilda’s homeschooling is taking over, trying to do the best by her but like so many mums I just can’t wait for the schools to reopen.
“I’m struggling with a bit of guilt with Delilah, feel like Matilda is taking a lot of my energy for home schooling and the last thing I want is for her to felt pushed out before the baby. So that makes me more emotional with the pregnancy hormones.”
She added: “I know Matilda will be fine but I don’t know how Delilah will react to not being the baby. I try and stay super calm every day but it wears off when Delilah keeps spilling Matilda's “potions” of glue and glitter all around the house.”

The actress went on to discuss how she’s feeling as her due date gets closer, revealing this will be her last baby after suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – a condition which causes severe morning sickness.
“Starting to feel a little bit more nervous about my labour now even though I’ve been so lucky to have two really good labours,” she said
“I always work myself up so much in my head. I do get quite anxious about things which I don’t like about myself but as I turned 30 I did become more self accepting. Going to try hypnotherapy never thought it was for me but seeing as this is my last baby due to hyperemesis gravidum I might as well give it a whirl.”

She ended the post: “Like everyone I just can’t wait for more normality to see my friends and just have fun. I can’t believe I get to say I’m having a baby next month.”
Helen has kept fans updated throughout her pregnancy and last week, opened up about the struggles of lockdown.
She told her Instagram followers: “This January seems to have really gone on and the winter has seemed so long. Though I feel gradually the nights are getting a bit lighter.
“We have to stay as positive as we can and it’s going to feel so good when a bit more normality does return.
"I feel blessed to have my girls to keep me busy even though some days I do get stressed also loving preparing for my little one which is keeping me busy.”
Helen and her partner of 11 years Scott announced their baby news in September and are set to welcome their third child in March.
