Jake Quickenden and wife Sophie trying for second baby: ‘It’s the easiest decision ever!’

Jake Quickenden and his wife Sophie have excitingly decided to add to their brood by trying for another baby.

The couple share one child together, Leo, one and Sophie has another son from a previous relationship, six year old Freddie.

But now the couple have opened up about their hopes to add another little one to the family.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Jake said: "We are trying for another one. It is the easiest decision ever. We definitely want one more.

"Our family already feels complete, but we’d love one more. We would love a little girl. That would be the icing on the cake. But as long as the baby was healthy, that’s all that matters. Whatever we had, we’d be happy."

In the same interview Sophie also revealed that she has always wanted a big family and "loves the thought of being pregnant again."

She continued: "When me and Jake first got together, I said I wanted five kids. That has gone down, but I still love the thought of a big family and all getting together for a big Christmas and big birthdays."

Jake also talked about how much he enjoys life as dad, and how everything he does is for Leo, Freddie and Sophie. He also explained how he cherishes life more now that he is a parent and has recently understood "how important life is".

The I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star also discussed his surprise at being offered a place in the line-up of the reality show Down Under.

Jake, who originally made his name on X Factor in 2012, said of his stint in the Aussie jungle: "The experience was amazing, I just took it with both hands and saw it as a great opportunity.

“I was just out of The X Factor and was more confused that they actually wanted me on the show.

"I think life is about being out of your comfort zone and trying new things."

Jake finished as runner up in I'm A Celebrity 2014 – the year Carl "Foggy" Fogarty was crowned king of the jungle.
