Jeremy Clarkson crowned 'UK's sexiest man' in online poll

Jeremy Clarkson crowned ‘UK’s sexiest man’ as ladies can’t resist his ‘bad boy farm vibe’ – but what other unlikely heartthrobs made the list?

  • Jeremy Clarkson has been voted ‘UK’s sexiest hunk’ among 50 famous faces
  • The survey was compiled by IllicitEncounters – a website for married people

The lauded titled of ‘UK’s sexiest hunk’ has been claimed by Jeremy Clarkson and he isn’t the only unlikely choice to have made the shortlist.

The 62-year-old broadcaster was the surprise winner in the poll by IllicitEncounters, which bills itself as ‘the best online dating site for married people’.

But there are even more left-field choices besides, The Daily Mirror reports.

Among politicians, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson found himself in company with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelenksy.

Others rated in the list by 2,000 women are Gary Lineker, Mike Tindall and Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds.

Financial maestro Martin Lewis appeared in fifth place, while Dermot O’Leary and Idris Elba both appeared joint sixth.

Mr Zelensky helped pad out the rest of the top ten, alongside Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Pimlico Plumber founder Charlie Mullins.

Illicit Encounters asked members for their ratings on a 50-strong list of this year’s famous men.

Categories including Celebrity, Politics, Sport and Public Figures helped viewers making their ratings before the top 10 was decided.

Ukrainian President Volodmyry Zelensky was also among the 50 famous men to be voted over and scored a spot in the top ten

Commenting on Clarkson’s win, IllicitEncounters spokeswoman Jessica Leoni said: ‘With the wax jacket and tweed shirt, clearly, Clarkson’s bad boy farm vibe is working for the over 30s.

‘Landing top spot in our table won’t earn him diddly squat, but I’m sure it will give him bragging rights on the farm.’

Yesterday, Jeremy Clarkson showed off his latest furry additions to the Cotswold farm in a new business venture – just days after he denied he has been axed as the presenter of the ITV quiz show.

The TV star, 62, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal he is now the proud owner of a herd of goats which have taken up residence in the once lambing barn.

Jeremy shared a photo of his girlfriend Lisa cuddling one, while the Amazon were also pictured on set filming the action.

He also uploaded a photo of his farmhand Kaleb Cooper, 24, who was dressed head-to-toe in scrubs with a gas mask on as he stood next to a hovercraft.

Controversy: Despite the soaring success, Jeremy has found himself at the centre of headlines this week over his future on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Jeremy wrote: ‘A varied day on the farm’, with Kaleb commenting: ‘I’m in love with that hovercraft!! So much fun’.

The Grand Tour star has been slowly expanding his farm animals, after a tough first year with sheep, Jeremy decided to get cattle and more chickens for his restaurant – which has now been closed – and later got some pigs.

Clarkson’s Farm broke Amazon Video viewing records after it’s release late last month.

The season 2 premiere of the farming show was watched by a staggering 4.3M viewers.

Despite the soaring success, Jeremy has found himself at the centre of headlines this week over his future on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Jeremy denied he has been axed as the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? after ITV earlier confirmed there ‘are no further commissioning commitments’ to the presenter.

It was earlier reported Clarkson had been sacked by the network following his highly controversial newspaper column about Meghan Markle, and betting companies are already eyeing up celebrities such as Warwick Davis to replace him.

Backlash: Clarkson wrote he ‘hated’ the Duchess of Sussex (pictured with Prince Harry) and wanted to see her paraded through the streets naked while people threw ‘excrement’ at her

More than 10 television personalities are currently in the running to take to the chair, according to the latest odds from William Hill.

Jeremy Clarkson has denied he has been axed as the host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

But Clarkson took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to deny the claims, writing: ‘I have not been sacked as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.’

The former Top Gear host sparked a backlash after fantasising in a newspaper column about the Duchess of Sussex being paraded through the streets naked while people threw ‘excrement’ at her, in an apparent reference to a public shaming scene from the fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.

It prompted the Press watchdog IPSO to investigate the column and sparked speculation that Clarkson’s hit shows on Amazon Prime had been pulled after bosses at the streaming service were reportedly left ‘incandescent’.

His fans then feared he was being ‘cancelled’ after ITV failed to confirm whether or not he would continue as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

ITV boss Carolyn McCall – whom Piers Morgan previously claimed forced him out of Good Morning Britain – seemed to confirm that Clarkson will not continue in his post beyond the next series, which has already been recorded.

‘We have a contract. We’re contracted to this [season], so we will do that,’ said Ms McCall to Variety magazine, adding: ‘And then we have no future commitments.’

Speaking of Clarkson’s column about Meghan, she added: ‘We don’t endorse that in any way… there’s no place for that on ITV.’

An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline earlier today: ‘As we have said before, ITV has a further series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? contractually commissioned (which has now recorded), and no further commissioning commitments beyond that currently.’

But the network later issued a revised statement, which said: ‘As we have said for several weeks, ITV is contractually committed to a further series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (which has now been recorded.)

‘There are no further commissioning commitments beyond that currently as is typical with such shows where we make commissioning decisions on a series by series basis.

‘Therefore for the avoidance of doubt neither Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? nor Jeremy Clarkson have been cancelled.’

Clarkson tweeted shortly afterwards: ‘So many kind messages about today’s reports. But relax. Lisa and I have not split up and I have not been sacked as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.’
