Julia Fox insists she ‘never wanted to be super-megafamous’, dreams of having a ‘bunch of babies’ and called Kanye West romance ‘hectic’ in interview before split
Julia Fox revealed some of the challenges she faced dating Kanye West in an interview profile with The Cut that was published just an hour after it was announced they had split.
The interview is said to have been conducted a week before she and Kanye called it quits, which the Uncut Gems actress confirmed herself in a defiant statement on Valentine’s Day.
In the profile, Julia insists that she ‘never wanted to be super-megafamous’ and referred to the romance with the 44-year-old rapper as ‘hectic.’
She seemingly compares the relationship with Ye to that of parenting her one-year-old son Valentino, who she shares with ex Peter Artemiev.

‘When I’m with Ye,’ she said, but then stopped her train of thought to add: ‘But even when I’m with my son, it’s also very difficult.’
Julia, 32, appeared to be equating the chaos of looking after her little one with her ‘hectic’ romance with Kanye.
‘It feels like you’re just going with the flow, but the flow is very hectic, if that makes sense,’ she explained of their brief romance.
‘It’s a lot of last-minute decisions or deciding to go somewhere at the last minute and activating when needed.’
She also referred to her time stepping out with Ye at fancy events – including dinner with Madonna at Delilah in West Hollywood – as a ‘full-time job.’

The rising star explained about the process of getting her looks ready for the events: ‘I’m out here making Excel sheets and ordering shit and returning s***.’
She then suggests that Kanye’s huge fame was never something she was interested in, saying: ‘I’ve never been operating at the level that Ye is.’
‘I never wanted to be super-megafamous. It’s a life-ender for some celebrities. They become reclusive and paranoid and hide. I refuse to not live authentically.’
Elsewhere in the interview, Julia reveals that she wants a ‘bunch of babies’ and recently asked her ex-husband to ‘lend me his sperm’ to make a sibling for their son, but said ‘he left me on read.’

Before the profile was published – that featured portraits by famed fashion photographer Juergen Teller (who famously shot Kim Kardashian) – Julia confirmed her split with Ye.
‘Y’all would love if I was soooo upset! The media would love to paint a picture of me a sad lonely woman crying on a plane by myself but it’s NOT TRUE!!’ Julia told fans in a note on Monday.
‘Why not see me for what I am which is a #1 hustler. I came up yall lol and not only that but Kanye and I are on good terms! I have love for him but I wasn’t in love w the man Jesus Christ what do u guys think I am 12 years old?!’
Kanye and Julia met on New Year’s Eve and then moved at warp speed into a full-blown relationship, with the actress even penning an essay about their romance.
Doubling down on her denial of being upset, Julia added: ‘and for the record the only time I cried in 2022 was on Feb 6th on my dead BFF bday.’
Julia was referring to the tragic death of good friend and celebrity manager Chris Huvane.

Following news of the split, eagle-eyed fans had spotted that Julia had ‘liked’ a post from Kanye’s ex-wife on Sunday.
The ‘like’ came as Kanye – who suffers from bipolar disorder -shared a slew of Instagram posts declaring ‘I wish my wife were with me’ and pining for his family to be reunited.
Kim, who has been publicly feuding with her ex husband for weeks, shared a snap of herself rocking a jumpsuit and Balenciaga shades with Julia’s like standing out among the 1m others.
Meanwhile, all photos of Kanye have disappeared from Julia’s page.
