Kate Garraway warns Ben Shephard ‘don’t be dominant with me’

Kate Garraway applauded Ben Shephard’s wife Annie after it was announced that she won a prize for her garden designs.

Also known for his role on Tipping Point, Ben could scarcely disguise his delight when he discovered the avid horticulturist had been awarded the Judges Prize by the London College of Garden Design.

“Amazing!!! Congratulations @annieshepharddesign!! So deserved – we always knew you were the clever one of the pair!!!” Kate exclaimed on the post, as well-wishers, including Good Morning Britain fans, flooded the page with praise too, and declared her a “garden queen”.

Ben said in his post: “She has worked so hard over the last year, I couldn’t be more proud of her and excited for what comes next.”

He added: “She’s loved this course and all her fellow students. It’s been great to see her so inspired and motivated.

“Not gonna lie, the boys are delighted that they won’t have to rely on their old man for food, drinks and general logistics now mum has graduated- everyone is relieved about that!!”

He then punctuated the point with a hint of humour, continuing: “Other than Deliveroo, whose profits will now slump significantly!!”

Kate wasn’t the only presenter to comment on the post, with Susanna Reid declaring: “Well deserved – she’s a garden genius!”

Fans including @runsinpearls exclaimed: “Just so delighted for Annie! Incredible achievement – I’ve only had a teeny tiny glimpse into what she’s done but what a woman!!!”

The picture Ben had attached on his post showed a beaming Annie delighted with her achievement.

Her hard work in horticulture hadn’t compromised her chic sense of style either, as a wide-brimmed retro hat in nautical blue and white stripes, positioned on the table beside her, exactly matched her dress.

Annie had her say over on her own page too, featuring a photo of herself in the garden with her feet up.

“Just chillin’ after graduation,” she wrote, adding: “Potting shed needs a tidy (in fact entire house, desk, wardrobe and inside of brain all need a good tidy up) but I’m ignoring it all and inviting family over for brunch in the garden instead!”

It was the latest in a number of posts featuring her garden successes, showing bees feeding from flowers, while she described toads living underneath them.

Some fans exclaimed that her stunning tulips had become their latest “obsession”.
