Kate Middleton has been spotted arriving to launch The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

The 39 year old, whose style has been copied by Carrie Symonds in the past, looked gorgeous as she donned a blue LK Bennett number, which costs £255, with nude heels and teamed the look with a vibrant rainbow umbrella.

The Duchess of Cambridge styled her brunette locks down to frame her face and kept the make up to a minimum, sporting black eyeliner and mascara for the outing.

Kate accessorised with a dangling earrings, a pendant necklace and a gold bracelet as she made her way to the launch on Friday, 18 June.

The new initiative was set up by her and 38 year old Prince William's foundation – The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The aim is to focus on the early years of childhood and support the youngest people in society.

Speaking out on the launch, Kate said: "Our first five years lay important foundations for our future selves.

"This period is when we first learn to manage our emotions and impulses, to care and to empathise, and thus ultimately to establish healthy relationships with ourselves and others.

"It is a time when our experience of the world around us, and the way that moulds our development, can have a lifelong impact on our future mental and physical wellbeing."
