Katie Price, 42, discusses her plastic surgery history

9 ‘I was 18 and when I look back, it’s too young to have a boob job’: Katie Price, 42, discusses her plastic surgery… but admits she hates her ‘wrinkly under eyes and frown’

Katie Price reflected on the history of her extensive plastic surgery on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Wednesday and admitted she thinks she was now too young to have undergone her first boob job aged 18.

In a short new film, the television personality, 42, discussed the increased interest in Botox and facial fillers and how she had no idea what they were when she was a teenager.

Investigating whether social media is influencing young people to have cosmetic procedures, Katie talked about her own experience of going under the knife- but said, ultimately, she has no regrets.

Under the knife: Katie Price reflected on the history of plastic surgery on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Wednesday and thinks she was now too young to have undergone her first boob job aged 18

The mother-of-five had her first cosmetic surgery at the tender age 18 where she had a boob job taking her breasts for a B cup to a C cup and had her first liposuction.

Katie said: ‘I was 18 and when I look back, it’s too young. I think you should wait until 21. But they’re early 20s having their faces pumped with this and that. It’s far too young.

‘I had no idea what Botox was or fillers. The first time I had Botox I was about 27, 28. They didn’t have social media when I started. I try to say to girls “I started my career with no airbrushing, no filters, it was how it was”.’

Since 2020, UK surgeons have reported a 70% increase in consultation requests, with Botox and fillers being in most demand.

Katie visited Dr Prakash, who performed Katie’s first cosmetic surgery in 1998 and said he has found young people showing pictures of what they want to look like.

He said: ‘I say “I don’t treat pictures, I treat you”. Most of them I say no because your expectation is too high.’

Her story: Katie said: ‘There’s pictures from the past sometimes I look and think “oh my god, my lips what was I thinking?”

Katie also met Geordie Shore’s Abbie Holborn, 23, who has had a number of cosmetic procedures.

Abbie told her: ‘You see something on social media and it’s like a domino effect, one person will get it done and it goes on and on. I’d seen this thing for jaw filler… I sat there and I said, ‘put as much as you want in.

She did it and I was like, “maybe put a little bit more in”. Then after looking at a photo, I was like, “I look like Spongebob Squarepants”. So I had to get it all dissolved out.’

Motherhood: Steph asked Katie whether she worries about her daughter, Princess, 13, wanting to have cosmetic procedures. Katie replied: ‘Princess has said “I’ll never have surgery Mum”

Steph asked Katie whether she worries about her daughter, Princess, 13, wanting to have cosmetic procedures.

To which the former glamour model replied: ‘Princess has said “I’ll never have surgery Mum, especially seeing what you’ve gone through”. She would never do it.’

The former glamour model shared her support for son Harvey by wearing items of clothing from his new range as she made her way to the studio with fiancé Carl Woods, 32.

Katie and Carl’s black hoodies had a sigil on one side with the letter ‘H’ and a frog designed on top, representing Harvey’s favourite animal.

The happy couple teamed their outerwear with a pair of green camouflage-print trousers that also sported the logo for Harvey’s brand.

They completed their look by wearing a pair of black trainers, and Katie also carried a matching black shoulder bag and shielded her eyes with a pair of futuristic-style shades.

Katie got engaged for the eighth time after her boyfriend Carl proposed earlier this month following a whirlwind 10-month romance.

The newly engaged couple shared details about their upcoming ‘completely different’ nuptials in a new candid interview with OK! magazine.

Katie and Carl announced their engagement earlier this month following a whirlwind 10 month relationship.

The mother-of-five insisted that their wedding, which they are planning for this year, will not be ‘boring’ or a ‘bog-standard’ affair with only guests who have an ’emotional value’ invited.

Talking about the decision to have the wedding quickly, Katie admitted that ‘time is precious’ and that she wants her terminally ill mother Amy to be ‘well enough’ to attend as she continues to battle her incurable lung condition.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a condition that causes the build-up of scar tissue in the lungs.

Katie said: ‘I want my mum to be able to rest easy knowing I’ve finally found someone I’m happy with,’ adding: ‘She knows I will be OK now – it’s given her peace of mind. That means the world to me, that Carl brings that peace to mum.’

The TV personality added that her mother is delighted over the engagement and can’t wait to have Carl as a son-in-law.

While Carl sweetly shared details about his proposal and ‘fairy-tale’ custom made engagement ring, which is just under seven carats and ‘eye-watering’ expensive, after asking for her parents’ and son Junior’s permission.

Katie told the publication that ‘this is real this time’ and Carl is ‘The One’, she added: ‘My head’s in the right place, it’s not rushed, it’s been done properly. Not only am I head over heels in love, my kids approve and my family approve.’

The former glamour model, who has been married three times in the past, admitted that it was ‘refreshing’ to be with someone who ‘doesn’t need her for anything’ and that she feels ‘fresh’ about life after a turbulent few years.

Katie also said that bankruptcy has been the ‘best thing’ that has happened to her as she ‘secretly knows that Carl is not with her for money’, joking: ‘I don’t have millions in the bank!’
