Kerry Katona has revealed her mum Sue has suffered a heart attack and she is unable to visit her.
The star, who’s currently touring in a pantomime, described it as a ‘huge scare’, letting fans know that she is doing okay.
‘Just letting everyone know, for all of those who are not aware, my mum had a heart attack on Thursday,’ she said.
‘She is in hospital as we speak. She wanted me to let you all know that she’s doing okay. She’s in the best place for her.’
Kerry, 41, added: ‘I’m in the middle of a tour at the moment so I can’t even go and see her right now but she’s alright, aren’t you mum?
‘Big scare, huge, huge scare and yeah – we’re all a little bit shook up by it. She’s in hospital, she’s in the right place – all of the kids are going to see her today with Ryan [Mahoney, Kerry’s fiance].
‘I’ve got two shows and then another two shows to do tomorrow. It’s been great fun, this panto, but I can’t wait to get home and go and see my mum.’
‘She’s okay, she’ll be okay,’ she added. ‘She had multiple heart attacks. So we’ve got to get her in the best health we can possibly get her in so I’m sure she’ll now get inundated with messages. My mum did want me to let everyone know, so that’s what I’m doing.’
‘Everyone say lots of prayers, keep her safe and I’ll see you soon mum, lots of love’.
She added in the caption: ‘@suekatona my mum is doing well and is in the best place!! Gave us all a massive scare xxxxxx.’
Fans have sent their well-wishes, with one writing: ‘Get well @suekatona sending love ♥️xxx’ and another adding: ‘Wishing your mum a speedy recovery and love to you Kerry.❤️’.
Kerry, who announced her engagement to Ryan in 2020, has five children of her own, Molly and Lily-Sue, who she shares with Brian McFadden, Heidi and Maxwell, who she shares with Mark Croft, and Dylan Jorge, who she welcomed with George Kay, who died in 2019.
