Kim Kardashian channels Sophia Loren as she brings back classic Italian cinema glamour for Dolce & Gabbana

Kim Kardashian brought back classic Italian movie glamour in a sizzling new ad for her Dolce & Gabbana collaboration this week.

The 41-year-old accentuated her hourglass figure in a tight black outfit that instantly brought back memories of Sophia Loren in Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow.

Shot in black and white, Kim modeled a platinum blonde hairdo as she strutted her stuff toward the camera under a spotlight.

Kim began the ad wrapped in a cozy-looking fleece-lined coat, but she quickly threw the wrap aside to reveal the outfit underneath.

Her skintight outfit showed off the stunning 21lb weight loss she achieved earlier this year after embarking on a diet for the Met Gala.

The look was reminiscent of Sophia Loren’s black bodysuit from the classic 1963 comedy Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow, directed by Vittorio De Sica.

Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow is comprised of a series of vignettes starring Sophia opposite her frequent screen partner Marcello Mastroianni.

Sophia models the black chemise in the third vignette, which stars her as a prostitute called Mara and Marcello as her client Augusto, a rich heir.

In a movie similar to Kim throwing her coat aside in the Dolce & Gabbana ad, Mara unveils her bodysuit by slipping off her robe while doing a striptease for Augusto.

The reality star’s sizzling new Dolce & Gabbana ad is part of her ‘Ciao Kim’ campaign in collaboration with the world-famous Italian fashion brand.

After tipping her hat to Sophia Loren, Kim posted yet another ad where she boasted a towering blonde hairdo redolent of Brigitte Bardot.

Kim was decked out in a sequined evening gown with a thigh slit and a voluminous black wrap as she entered a restaurant and sat down to a bowl of spaghetti.

Sitting all by herself at a small cafe-style table, she sprinkled a bit of parmesan on her bowl of pasta and let the waiter pour her a glass of wine.

She made sure to use her caption to plug her runway show with Dolce & Gabbana, which at that point was about to occur at Milan Fashion Week.

Kim hit the stage with both Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who used to be a couple and have retained their business partnership in spite of their breakup.

Ahead of her big fashion show, one of her retro chic ads for Dolce & Gabbana featured Kim dressed up as Marilyn Monroe, who is evidently a major idol of hers.

Kim famously shed 16lbs in two weeks so that she could attend this year’s Met Gala in the dress Marilyn wore to John F. Kennedy’s birthday party in 1962.

Marilyn herself had to be sewn into the gold frock, which she wore while seductively singing: ‘Happy Birthday, Mr. President,’ three months before her death.

Kim denied allegations that she had damaged the Marilyn dress, noting that Ripley’s Believe It Or Not!, which has the frock in its possession, took her side.

‘Kim Kardashian wearing the “Happy Birthday” dress has been hotly contested, but the fact remains that she did not, in any way, damage the garment in the short amount of time it was worn at the Met Gala,’ Ripley’s said.

The accusations rested largely on pictures of the damaged dress that surfaced online – but Ripley’s cited a 2017 report that already noted ‘a number of the seams are pulled and worn.’

Kim also took a few slings and arrows over her weight loss, but she defended her decision on the Today show, saying: ‘Yeah, you know, I looked at it like a role.’

Added she: ‘I really wanted to wear this dress. It was really important to me. It actually taught me a lot about my lifestyle and my health and since then, afterwards, I continued to eat really healthy. I am down 21lbs now.’

She declared: ‘I’m not trying to lose any more weight but I have more energy than ever. I cut out so much sugar, a lot of junk food I was eating – I didn’t even realize it. A lot of fried foods. And I completely changed my lifestyle.’
