Kim Kardashian reveals the real reason why she’s still friends with sister Khloe’s cheating ex Tristan Thompson
Kim Kardashian has finally revealed the real reason as to why she is still friends with her sister’s cheating ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
Tristan, 32, dated Kim’s sister Khloe, 39, on and off from 2016 to 2021, but was hit with multiple cheating allegations when Khloe was pregnant with their daughter True, who is now five years old.
Khloe forgave him but sadly in February 2019, news broke that Thompson kissed Jordyn Woods at a party in Los Angeles.
The pair patched things up but two days but decided to call it quits in June 2021.
By the end of that year, Maralee Nichols revealed she was pregnant with his child. In August 2022, Khloe welcomed her son, Tatum, via surrogate.

But, Kim, 42, has now rushed to the basketball player’s defence, admitting he is a ‘really good person’.
Speaking on this week’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim also revealed how Tristan ‘stepped up’ for her as a single mother, after her split from ex-husband Kanye West.
She explained: ‘Oh, I know guys are gonna hate me for this and you’re gonna hate us and you’re gonna think Khloe is whatever… It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good like Dad… but he just couldn’t get it together in that area, of like being a faithful boyfriend,’ Kim said.
‘So it’s like you wanna obviously like hate him for that. Yeah, of course, his actions and who he was, like so f***ed up,’ Kim admitted.
‘We’ve had our talks about it and we’ve had our fights about it and we’ve had our arguments about it,’ she added, before going on to defend him.
‘But he’s also shown so many decent things and just has been a really good person and friend. When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up,’ she said.
Kim then revealed that Tristan even started showing up to her son’s basketball games.
She explained: ‘He picked Saint up, takes them to dinner, and will always come to my defense, especially if it’s stuff with like me and my ex.’

‘And I just like never forgot that, so it’s like, I’ll never really throw someone away and act like I don’t feel like they can’t grow and evolve,’ Kim added in confession.
In the season three finale of The Kardashians, Khloe revealed that she had let Tristan move into her home with their two children True and Tatum.
Tristan suddenly lost his mother Andrea in January, with the NBA star becoming the primary caregiver for his 16-year-old brother Amari who suffers from epilepsy.
Tristan also suffered a blow when the roof of his house gave out due to the surprising inclement weather in January 2023, leading to Tristan and Amari moving in with Khloe.
Yet she made it clear that she wasn’t reconciling or getting in a new relationship with him as she explained: ‘I’m not naive to the fact that my ex-boyfriend is living in my house.
‘I never wanna be someone that anyone can accuse that I misled them when it comes to love. I’m so adamant about that because I’ve been on the receiving end of it, and I just don’t think love is something to play with.’
And in the same episode, it appeared Tristan was continuing to try and woo her.
Thompson opened up about his failures, even calling Khloe – who he dated on and off from 2016 to 2021 – his ‘person.’
In the scene, Khloe and Tristan sat together as they went through some of Tristan’s mementos such as baby photos.
Opening up on himself, Tristan said: ‘In sports, we’re groomed to be like so tough, with a f**k you mentality. We’re in a competition in a field with so many people that’s like a dog-eat-dog world, and it wasn’t really until like I really had to look at myself and was like, I need to hold myself accountable.’

In with a chance? And in the latest episode, Tristan appeared to try and woo Khloe, telling her she was his ‘person’
Guilty: ‘How come I like I meet my person… how come I’ve done so much wrong things to them? Like why put you through that?’ he said
Taking a slight detour, he continued: ‘You gotta just like be your own man and don’t care what people think and don’t feel you have to get validation from others.
‘You know True is understanding stuff, and Prince understands things and they go to school and they have classmates. Like the last thing I want them to do is feel embarrassed that I’m their father.
‘I think going down this journey I’ve been on right now, especially what happened to my mom, I always ask myself, why do certain things to hurt certain people?
‘I think the thing that always sticks to my mind is like… I know how much I care about you, I know how much I love you, you’re my best friend.
‘How come I like I meet my person… how come I’ve done so much wrong things to them? Like why put you through that?’ he said.
Asked by a producer whether it’s hard for her to hear Tristan call her his person, Khloe then said: ‘Tristan has said, before, like, I’m his person. I’m not saying I don’t believe him, but I’ve heard this and, of course it’s angered me before because I’m like, “Well if I f***ing am, then why would you have treated me this way?
‘And how many times? This isn’t like a one-time and here we are. I love love, and I am a hopeless romantic, but that’s not going to change how I feel and what happened.’
