Kourtney Kardashian has revealed she keeps some of her son’s hair in a drawer and “smells it often.” Reign, who is now seven years old and the youngest of her three children, was always known for his long locks until The Kardashians star decided to cut off his signature braid back in 2020.
blink Kourtney shares Reign with ex Scott Disick, 39, and the pair have two other children together as a result of their nine year on-off relationship: Mason, 12, and Penelope, 10.
The Poosh founder, who recently got rid of her eyebrows in the name of beauty, made the bizarre haircut claim during a recent joint interview with her younger sister Khloé, 38. Speaking to Interview magazine, she said: “I have Reign’s hair because we didn’t cut his hair until he was five. So I have his long braid and I smell it often."
Khloé, who was clearly not expecting this confession, reacted by saying: “Oh my god. Okay. That’s nice," to which Kourtney asked if the Good American founder wanted to see it.
“Oh no, I’m fine with that. It’s like, oh my gosh. Rapunzel?" she responded.
Kourtney, who recently posed nude in a racy snap shared by her husband Travis, documented the moment Reign first had his hair cut on Instagram, and posted a photo of her son with his fresh cut two years ago, alongside the caption: “I am not ok.”
But it seems Kourtney's son has moved on from the hippy style look he rocked in his younger days.
Later that year, Kourtney posted a snap of Reign sporting a Mohican hairstyle on her Instagram, in which he and his cousin nine year old North West, 42 year old Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter, were seen posing with guitars and dancing around.
It's unclear whether the decision was made under the influence of his new step dad, musician and pop punk icon Travis Barker, 47. Fans seemed to think so though, and took to the comments section to liken the look to Travis’ band, Blink-182.
Reign isn’t the only sibling to experiment with hairstyles at such a young age, either. Kourtney and Scott’s daughter, Penelope has been known to change up her look in the past, most notably transforming her long light brown hair to a bright red colour in 2021.
The Kardashian kid even posted a tutorial on the TikTok account she shares with Kourtney to show fans how she achieved the look.
The pair's daughter is currently back as a brunette, but it’s probably only a matter of time until she tries out a new look. After all, the Kardashian-Jenner family are known for their ever-changing styles, so it’s only expected that the younger generation will follow in their footsteps.
