Lauren Goodger appears to hit out at ex Charles Drury as she slams ‘covert narcissists’ who ‘cover their tracks’ – four months after birth of their daughter

Lauren Goodger has apparently hit out at her ex Charles Drury as she criticised  ‘covert narcissists’. 

The star, 34, who welcomed daughter Larose with Charles, 24, in July, took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday with a series of cryptic messages.

One, taken from a page called @womenagainstgaslighting, gave advice on how to spot a secret narcissist.

It read: ‘A covert narcissist’s number one priority is to look good, and they care a lot about their reputation and they are well liked, well respected, and so they will do many things to cover their tracks.’ 

Lauren then shared another message that read: ‘The only people worthy to be in your life are the ones that help you through the hard times and laugh with you after the hard times pass.’ 

Hinting further at their relationship, Lauren shared a black and white animation of a man and woman kissing with text reading: ‘I want a bond so tight that even on bad terms you come to me first…’ 

Narcissism refers to extreme self-involvement to a degree that it makes someone ignore the needs of those around them.

Meanwhile, Charles seemed unbothered by Lauren’s posts as he shared a snap of himself with Larose and asked his followers: ‘Best place to buy baby bags and all the baby essentials from?’

It comes after Lauren revealed she is planning another boob job following her breakup as she took to Instagram to ask for surgeon recommendations from her fans. 

The star wrote alongside a sultry snap of herself: ‘Girls I’m looking for the best boob surgeon in the UK, can you send me pics of your before and after if you can. Thank you.’ 

Lauren previously went under the knife in 2014 to take her ample 34D chest to a 34E.

The planned overhaul comes in the wake of Lauren and Charles’ split. Although their split only became public recently, it was reported Charles and Lauren actually broke up several weeks ago.

The former couple previously revealed that they still see each other every day for Larose while she was cared for in hospital.

Charles joked he was on a ‘quick holiday’ on Wednesday evening as he shared a snap of himself about to use a tanning bed before heading to the gym for a boxing session and heading out for a Caribbean dinner with pals. 

The hunk was keen to shirk his personal woes as he took to Instagram to detail his day of indulgence with his snap at the tanning salon seeing him cut a casual figure in the snap as he sported a black hoodie and matching tracksuit bottoms.

The builder, who announced his split from Lauren last week, captioned the post: ‘Quick holidayyyy’. 

He then shared his shot from inside the gym where he was boxing and then outside Jerk Pit restaurant where he was joined by pals.  

Although their split only became public recently, it was reported Charles and Lauren actually broke up several weeks ago.

A source told OK!: ‘Lauren and Charles split weeks ago. They weren’t compatible anymore.  

‘She’s really stressed as Larose is in hospital with a severe illness. She didn’t expect him to announce the split while she’s going through this really difficult period. He’s had weeks to do this – why has he done this now?’ 

‘It’s been such a scary time for Lauren. Her priority is Larose and making sure she gets better and out of hospital as quickly as possible.’

Lauren Goodger and Charles Drury’s representatives declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.

On Monday, Charles shared a snap of himself doting on Larose, and wrote alongside: ‘love you more than you’ll ever know.’

Showing her approval, Lauren posted some pink love hearts below, inspiring one follower to comment: ‘make sure you stay friends it’s so important.’

The TOWIE star responded: ‘We are don’t listen to headlines not 1 of us have spoken we see each other everyday cos of baby x.

‘Yes last week was a hard last week with baby in hospital and the post but we always work through it x.’

Last Thursday, Lauren shared updates from her daughter Larose’s hospital stay, following her split from Charles.

Taking to Instagram, the former TOWIE star apologised to fans for Charles’ decision to announce their split while their daughter is in hospital with a ‘severe infection’.

Sharing a series of selfies showing her cradling her daughter, Lauren also posted crying emojis as she continued to nurse her daughter.

Prior to her series of late night selfies, she then shared a statement herself saying she was ‘sorry’ Charles had mentioned their relationship status while Larose is sick.

She wrote: ‘I apologise for Charlie talking about our relationship status right now as our daughter is very ill and this is the least of my worries.

‘I do not wish to comment on the situation at this time as there is so much more to it but my priority is getting my daughter better.’

Without commenting on the split, Lauren took to Instagram earlier in the day and revealed Larose has been in hospital with a ‘severe illness’.

Lauren wrote: ‘My baby has been in hospital for three days so far with a severe illness. She caught some sort of virus or infection, I think the bronchitis has come back worse.

‘It’s been the hardest two days of my life and me and @CharlesDrury1 have been with her swapping to be with her.’

So hard to watch your daughter be in hospital with tubes, drips, cannula, especially being held down she doesn’t understand, it’s broken my heart.

‘I have slept on a chair well didn’t sleep for 24 hours. She’s my world and she’s finally on the mend. Thank you @NHSEngland for your help you lovely people. What would we do without you.’

Statement: Taking to Instagram last Thursday, Charles confirmed the couple had gone their ‘separate ways’

Lauren then shared a heartwarming video of herself sitting in hospital as she cradled Larose, and wrote: ‘I’ve been by my daughter’s side day and night! Bless her heart she’s on the mend’.

The saga began when Charles confirmed the couple have gone their ‘separate ways’ but have vowed to ‘remain civil’ for the sake of their child.

She wrote: ‘Only going to post this once, me & Lauren have decided to go our separate ways.

‘Things must remain civil for the sake of our daughter, Lauren is great mum so when it comes to Larose we both have her best interest at heart so she will still see us both.’

Lauren first teased she was seeing someone new back in October 2020, later revealed to be Charles.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together just three months after going public with their relationship.

Speaking to Closer magazine after becoming a mother, Lauren praised Charles as a hands-on father.

She said: ‘He has been amazing, especially for a young guy – changing nappies, getting up in the night. He’s even been feeding me my dinner.’

Writing previously in new! magazine of her relationship with Joey, she said: ‘I regret giving two and a half years of my life to someone who was in jail only for him to come out and not be what I thought. 

‘I thought we were going to get a house, get married and have kids. I regret the time I’ve wasted.’ 

Charles Drury: 2020-present

In October 2020, Lauren teased she was dating a mystery man, who was soon to be identified as Charles Drury, 23.
