Strep throat is a bacterial infection that causes inflammation and pain in the throat, symptoms include a fever, swollen lymph nodes, nausea and vomiting.

Friends had originally feared, Lauren, who is mum to daughter Larose, 15 months, had Strep A as cases surge across the U.K.

Recovery: ‘My body feels like I’ve been hit by a lorry – a few times’, she added

‘Lauren was in tears she feels so awful. She’s rushing to her GP today,’ a source told The Sun.

‘Everyone fears that she’s got Strep A. Poor Lauren – it’s one thing after another and this is the last thing she needs before Christmas.’

Strep A, a bacterial infection, which is usually mild, has so far killed at least 16 children in the UK. Although low, the toll is higher than expected for this time of year.

However upon receiving medical care, Lauren was diagnosed with Strep throat by doctors.

It’s been a busy time for Lauren, who has recently overhauled her fitness regime in a bid to ‘feel sexy again’ after a ‘horrendous’ year.

Speaking to new magazine, she explained: ‘I want to get a bit slimmer and then I’ll get my implants out. I’m over big boobs and big bums now. I’m so over that look. I want to look sexy – I’m single. I’m back on OnlyFans. It’s something I enjoy doing because it does make you feel sexy.’

Lauren said the training was helping improve her mental health, and takes the place of therapy or medication after the loss of her daughter Lorena, who tragically passed away in July, just hours after being born.

She said: ‘People have advised me to see a counsellor and maybe I will in the future, but it’s not something I want to do right now. I deal with things differently. I’m a warrior and I always have been my whole life. I’m a survivor – and I want to be strong for Larose. She keeps me going.’

She went on to say that while she’s still having a tough time, she has begun ‘healing’ and it was reflected with her appetite.

Lauren said: ‘I’m still going through such a horrendous time of my life, but I’m slowly getting there. After everything happened, I stopped eating completely. It wasn’t on purpose – I just physically didn’t feel hungry because of the grief and anxiety. Now I’m in a healthier place because I can eat again. It means I’m healing.’
