Meanwhile, the race driver on Sunday said his back is ‘a real mess’ as a result of Mercedes’s porpoising which looked worse than ever during qualifying in Baku.
The bouncing has been a real source of trouble for Mercedes so far this season with both drivers complaining of the impact it was having to their bodies.
Ahead of Sunday’s race, Lewis told Sky Sports the bouncing was playing on his mind.

He said: ‘I’m just conscious of the bouncing and whether we can make it through the race with the bouncing…
‘We’re not that quick on the straights. It is a track you can overtake on but we’re at risk of being overtaken on due to other peoples’ speed. So, we’ve got to try and get good exits. We’ll do whatever we can today and I hope we get some good points.’
It comes as no further action will be taken against Lewis after he was investigated for driving ‘unnecessarily slowly’ in qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The seven-time world champion was summoned to the stewards at the end of Q2 after appearing to hold up Lando Norris, who, along with McLaren team-mate Daniel Ricciardo just behind, decided not to pass him.
Norris was told on the radio by his race engineer: ‘Don’t let him [Hamilton] play silly s***. He’s got to keep an eye on his delta, if he doesn’t he’ll be in trouble. He’s the lead car, he’ll get in trouble.’
An exasperated Lewis, who finished P7, said ‘I don’t know what you expect of me sometimes’ when told by his Mercedes team not to drive too slowly.
But FIA have released a statement to confirm that the 37-year-old will not face a penalty that could have bumped him down the standings.
