Liam Payne continued to show off his chiseled jaw on Wednesday after surprising fans with his drastically different look.

The One Direction star, 29, stepped out for a date night with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy as they enjoyed a lavish meal at London’s Sexy Fish restaurant.

The smitten couple walked hand-in-hand before they moved on to celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse for the rest of their romantic night out.

Liam cut a stylish figure in black trousers and a white T-shirt, which he teamed with a fluffy green patterned jacket.

He kept comfortable in a pair of white high-top trainers and wore his brunette locks in a natural slicked back style.

The singer continued to show off his chiseled look after he sported a different look at the premiere of All Of Those Voices last week.

He looked as loved-up as ever with his girlfriend Kate, who cut a very glamorous figure in a plunging black faux leather button-up mini dress.

She completed her look with a pair of matching knee-high boots and kept her essentials in a sparkling sequinned cream handbag.

Kate swept her golden locks back into a sleek high ponytail and accentuated her features with a bronzed make-up palette.

The smitten couple went public with their romance back in October and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the British Fashion Awards before Christmas.

His latest outing comes after Liam sported a chiseled look as he supported former bandmate Louis Tomlinson at the premiere of his new film All Of Those Voices.

Fans flocked to Twitter to question what had happened, with many asking if he’d undergone buccal fat removal. 

The fast growing trend among celebrities and social media personalities alike cuts out fat pads from the inside of a person’s cheek, giving them a more angular face as a result.

Speaking to MailOnline, aesthetics doctor Dr Mo Hamed weighed in on what he believed Liam could have had done, saying the singer was looking ‘very good.’

Dr Mo Hamed, who runs aesthetics clinic Dr Motox, speculated: ‘He looks like he may have had some jawline filler to give him a chiselled and contoured side profile.

‘This is becoming a very popular treatment in my clinic where men are having jawline filler to masculinise their face. 

‘A wider and chiseled jawline is associated with more strong masculine features.’ 

MailOnline contacted Liam’s representatives for comment at the time.

Speaking in 2021, Liam revealed he was left looking bloated after going through a ‘wild booze and pills phase’. 

Liam, who said he struggled to stay sober on tour, revealed: ‘There were a few pictures of me on a boat and I was all bloated out and I call it my pills-and-booze face.

‘My face was 10 times bigger than it is now. The problem was, the best way to secure us was to lock us in our rooms, and what is in the room? A mini-bar.

What is buccal fat removal surgery?  

The procedure cuts out fat pads from the inside of a person’s cheek, giving them a more angular face as a result. 

Model Chrissy Teigen admitted to receiving the procedure in 2021, and it just one of many personalities believed to have underwent the operation.

It takes around a half-hour for the surgeon to complete each side of the mouth, with the entire operation taking around an hour.

The surgeon will then close the incisions with dissolvable stitches.

‘So I had a party-for-one that seemed to carry on for years. It was wild but the only way you could get frustration out.’

Liam went on to reveal that he slipped back into bad habits during lockdown, and became reliant on alcohol, which led to him putting on weight.

Detailing the impact it had on his waistline, he continued: ‘I put on so much weight, I was eating badly and describing it as a bulking period — “I’m doing it for a movie role! It’s all good!” 

‘That’s the best excuse if anyone asks if you’ve put on weight. Say it’s for a role, coming out 2022. 

‘I put a lot of weight on. What got me, I did one performance on TV with the BAFTAs and I was disappointed with myself. I didn’t look how I wanted to look.

‘In your own self you know how you feel about it. Obviously they say the camera adds ten pounds and it definitely did. I realised I’ve let myself go in this.’

After the country came out of lockdown Liam worked hard on his physique, getting back into the gym and cutting down on his alcohol consumption. 

Since One Direction split up back in 2016, Liam has been hard at work on his solo career.
