Lizzie looks almost unrecognisable compared to first season on MAFS

Who’s that girl? Elizabeth Sobinoff looks almost unrecognisable compared to her first appearance on Married At First Sight – which is now a ratings smash in the UK

Elizabeth Sobinoff rose to fame as an eccentric bride on Married At First Sight in 2019, with ‘horrendous’ blonde hair extensions, dramatic makeup and long nails.

But two years after her reality TV debut, the former jewellery store manager, 29, could almost pass as a completely different person.

She looked unrecognisable compared to her first appearance on MAFS as she channelled Ariana Grande in a selfie shared to Instagram on Wednesday.

Lizzie styled her long brunette hair into a high ponytail, and many fans said she gave off ‘Ariana Grande vibes’ – as the singer is known for her half-up, half-down ‘do.

Since taking part in season six of Nine’s social experiment, Lizzie has swapped her self-described ‘extra’ look in favour of something more low-key.

She has also lost a significant amount of weight, changed her hair colour and added numerous tattoos.

Elizabeth was known for her heavy eye makeup, winged mascara and dark lipstick on MAFS season six.

After filming the show, she described her own hair extensions as ‘horrendous’.

Lizzie’s season is now airing for the first time in the UK, where it is a ratings smash for E4, and many British fans have been shocked to discover her new look when searching for her on Instagram.

Troubled union: After her marriage to cheating tradie Sam Ball ended in disaster (pictured on their wedding day), she was invited to return to MAFS for a second chance at love last year

After her marriage to cheating tradie Sam Ball ended in disaster, she was invited to return to MAFS for a second chance at love last year.

She was more successfully paired with personal trainer Seb Guilhaus, and they returned for the Grand Reunion, which aired on Nine earlier this month.

Sadly, they’d split by the time the two-part special was broadcast, having called it quits around late December/early January.
