Lizzo shows off her derrière in a multi-colored furry bikini as she explains twerking is her ‘ancestral birthright’
Lizzo rang in the first day of 2021 by showing off her impressive twerking skills in a multi-colored furry bikini as she enjoyed her home’s panoramic city views at sunset.
While standing on her balcony in her latest Instagram video, the 32-year-old Truth Hurts hitmaker danced up a storm for her more than 9.6 million Instagram followers.
As she thrusted her hips and shook her derrière in a low squatting stance, the only noise that could be heard was the relaxing sounds of crickets chirping away.

In her caption, the three-time Grammy winner explained the origins and importance of twerking, which can be traced to Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa.
‘Twerking has had many names but will always be my ancestral birthright, derivative of an age-old practice, brandishing the Devine feminine energy of the earth, unleashing Sacral chakra magic and will remain captivating and coveted by all,’ she explained.
Later, in the same skimpy outfit, she posed by her pool, and even compared her look to one worn by Tika the Iggy, an Insta-famous miniature Italian greyhound.

‘I facetuned my nipple out and hid it somewhere in this pic… first person to find it wins,’ she captioned the slideshow.
Referring to Tika, she also urged fans to ‘scroll to see an actual bad b**ch,’ who wore a nearly identically furry jacket.
Her posts comes after she shared snaps of herself posing completely naked while taking part in Instagram’s viral photo challenge, earlier this week.

The Truth Hurts singer was asked to share photos from various points and milestones in her life, before she gamely agreed to two requests for nude snaps.
Answering the first request to see her in ‘no clothes with an emoji’ covering her, Lizzo shared a shot of herself posing naked with ‘I Voted’ stickers on each breast.
Wearing her hair in voluminous red curls, the star kept revved up the glam factor by sporting a rich palette of impeccably-applied makeup.

Another request saw a fan simply asking for a ‘nude pic’, a wish that was granted when Lizzo posted an image of herself posing naked with her back to the camera.
Among other snaps shared in the challenge were photos of her with fellow musicians, including Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande and Normani.
Sharing topless snaps, Lizzo insisted she hadn’t been starving herself as she penned another inspirational message to fans who had questioned her choice to detox.
‘Twerking has had many names but will always be my ancestral birthright, derivative of an age-old practice,’ she told her followers
She doubled down on her earlier comments, writing in the caption: ‘I detoxed my body and I’m still fat. I love my body and I’m still fat. I’m beautiful and I’m still fat. These things are not mutually exclusive.
‘To the people who look to me, please do not starve yourselves. I did not starve myself. I fed myself greens and water and fruit and protein and sunlight. You don’t have to do that to be beautiful or healthy.
‘That was my way. You can do life your way. Remember, despite anything anyone says or does ✨DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR BODY✨’

Along with the photo the singer showed off her curves as she openly examined her body in a video clip titled ‘To Every Body, with love’.
Earlier this month, Lizzo defended herself after getting slammed for posting about a smoothie detox diet, telling critics to she and fellow ‘big girls’ should be able to do ‘whatever the f**k they want with their body.’
The Juice singer explained how her decision to detox had nothing to do with weight loss, but was instead about getting her health back in balance after a stressful November.

‘As you know, I would normally be so afraid and ashamed to post things like this online because I feel like, as a big girl, people just expect if you are doing something for health, you’re doing it for a dramatic weight loss, and that is not the case,’ Lizzo began in a social media video.
‘In reality, November stressed me the f**k out, I drank a lot, I ate a lot of spicy things and things that f**ked my stomach up. And I wanted to reverse it and get back to where I was,’ she continued.
‘I’m so proud of myself, I’m proud of my results, my sleep has improved, my hydration, my inner peace, my mental stability, my f**kin’ body, my f**kin’ skin, the whites of my eyes.’
‘Like, I feel and look like a bad b***h. And that’s it. I’m a big girl who did a smoothie detox. And I wanted to share that with you guys. I got exactly what I wanted out of it, and every big girl should do whatever the f**k they want with their body.’
I like your Styles: Among other snaps shared in the challenge were photos of her with fellow musicians, including Harry Styles
Previously, the songstress caused a stir as she posed in front of the camera for a post about a ’10-day smoothie detox.
The post made her trusty followers question how and why the body-positive star bought into ‘diet culture’.
In addition to drinking shakes, the Because I Love You singer showed off a massive jug of ‘beauty water’ chilling in the fridge.

Health: ‘I fed myself greens and water and fruit and protein and sunlight. You don’t have to do that to be beautiful or healthy,’ Lizzo said after doing a juice cleanse recently
Fans were shocked to see their favourite singer taking part in an online fad after spending the bulk of her career advocating for more inclusive bodies to take space in an otherwise thin world.
In a TikTok video posted earlier this month, Lizzo said: ‘I came home, and I took my clothes off to take a shower, and I just started having all of these really negative thoughts about myself.
‘Like, you know, “What’s wrong with me?” Maybe everything, all the mean things people say about me are true. And, you know, “Why am I so disgusting?” and hating my body.’
Doing her own thing: Lizzo responded to critics of her smoothie detox, telling them to mind their own business
Oh no! Lizzo’s fans were completely caught off guard when the singing sensation shared a few clips participating in a fad diet program
Lizzo — who’s full name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson — added that she was finding difficulty saying anything positive and allowed herself to sit with the negative emotion if only for a minute.
‘Normally I would have some positive thing to say to get me out of this, but I don’t, and that’s OK too,’ she said. ‘I think these are normal.
‘They happen to everybody. They happen to the best of us. We are the best of us. And I just have to know that tomorrow how I feel in here [she pointed to her head] is gonna change.
‘And I can only hope that it changes for the better. But I know I’m beautiful, I just don’t feel it. But I know I’m going to get through it.’
