Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon, 26, pays homage to Frozen video

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, 26, goes NUDE to launch her music career with new song and pays homage to famous mom’s 1998 Frozen video

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon channeled her famous mom in a mystical new music video for her third single, titled Spelling.

The 26-year-old artist shared the clip to her Instagram and YouTube on Tuesday, revealing it was inspired by her mom’s ‘timeless’ video for song Frozen, released in 1998.

The clip, which was shot at Ashokan Acres, drew heavy inspiration from the original — from its dark blue hues to Lourdes playing a similar ethereal, witch-like character with long flowing raven tresses, to the same black bird and dog motifs.

Lourdes — who also appeared nude in the video at one point — wrote a sweet caption as she praised the Material Girl, 65, for being her muse.

‘This piece is very special. It’s an homage to my mother’s timeless piece of art, Frozen,’ the musician — who goes by the name Lolahol when she performs — wrote of the pop icon.

‘That piece has come up countless times in my life, connecting the two of us. I would be nothing without the woman who brought me into the world. I revere her, and hope that this translates.’

The video starts out in a dark forest, as it zooms in on Lourdes, who is floating in mid-air, wearing an eerie black dress, similar to the Jean Paul Gaultier one Madonna wore in the original.

The starting shot also matched the original, which saw Madonna hovering mid-air above a cracked desert floor.

In the clip, Lourdes’ arms are wrapped up with a black cloth, and her eyes are ghostly white. In yet another tribute to the Queen of Pop, she appears to have to word Mom tattooed on her fingers.

As she floats in the air, with her hair drifting in the wind, the star — who is the only biological daughter of Madonna — begins to softly sing.

‘I am constant/ you stay in the water/ Remind me/ Followin’ friend path forever/ Cyclical, bicycle, forever.’

In the next minute the star changes from a floating figure into a flock of black birds – once again matching a scene from her mother’s video.

She then reappears inside the foggy forest, clad in silver studded black underwear, a matching belt and bra.

Lourdes begins verse two: ‘Don’t want my feet to touch the sand/ Carry me on your back/ Why can’t he succumb to my desires/ Why can’t we light the flame to my fire?’

As she crawls thought the forest, she transforms into a large black Dobermann — in yet another homage to Frozen.

‘I revere her’: ‘That piece has come up countless times in my life, connecting the two of us. I would be nothing without the woman who brought me into the world. I revere her, and hope that this translates’

Ghostly: Her arms are wrapped up with a black cloth, and her eyes are ghostly white. As she floats in the air, with her hair drifting in the wind, the star begins to softly sing

Deep lyrics: ‘I am constant/ you stay in the water/ Remind me/ Followin’ friend path forever/ Cyclical, bicycle, forever’

Wild: As she crawls thought the forest, she transforms into a large black Dobermann — in yet another homage to Frozen

Her muse: Another scene saw the star change from a floating figure into a flock of black birds – once again matching a scene from her mother’s video

Dynamic trio: She is then joined by two other forest companions, as they perform a dance routine on a dark meadow

Out with a bang: At the end of the clip a naked Lourdes walks into a river, her raven tresses gently falling down her back, and slowly submerges herself

The next verse continues: ‘Ground splits in two cracks/ I try to run/ One of you show me my room/ I was stupid and it doesn’t work like that/ I was stupid and it doesn’t work like that.’

She is then joined by two other forest companions, as they perform a dance routine on a dark meadow.

The song ends with the lyrics: ‘Show me your back ’cause my woman dreams/ want to try look/ Am I livin’ a stupid dream?/ Everybody’s lookin’ for something/ Can’t take the heat in a desert dream/ Cyclical, bicycle/ Buckle up my boots and ride with me.’

Unlike Madonna’s video — which ends with her digging into the desert ground with her hands — Spelling comes to an end with a naked Lourdes who walks into a river, her raven tresses gently falling down her back, and slowly submerges herself.

Spelling was directed by Claire Farin, and produced by Isabel Levin.

Lourdes is following in her mom’s footsteps, as she continues on with her music career.

The star released her first solo single Lock&Key and the accompanying music video in August 2022. It was followed by her second single, Cuntradiction, released in November – both songs from her five-track debut EP Go.

She also did backing vocals as a teenager for Madonna’s 2012 track Superstar, which the pop star wrote about her.

Lourdes has also made a career as a model, and has appeared in campaign for Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Burberry, Savage X Fenty and Mugler.

Madonna shares Lourdes with her ex, former personal trainer and actor, Carlos Leon.
