EXCLUSIVE ‘I was forced to bring it up’: Married At First Sight UK star Morag was ‘pressurised’ by producers to reveal Josh direct messaged her years before the experiment and says she doesn’t regret going on Take Me Out
Morag Crichton claims Married At First Sight producers ‘pressurised’ her into revealing Josh Christie messaged her before they appeared on the dating series.
The veterinary nurse, 31, told MailOnline she was ‘forced’ to confront Josh, 26, over the DMs he sent, which led to a huge row at one of the show’s dinner parties, and caused tension between him and wife Amy Christophers, 34.
In an exclusive interview, Morag says it was wrong viewers assumed she signed up to Married At First Sight for fame when she believes every cast member had an agenda – as she defends her past appearance on Take Me Out.

Morag explained: ‘I was forced to bring that up because it was on a card during a game of Never Have I Ever and the card said ‘Never Have I Ever been DM’d by one of the other husbands.’
‘I didn’t say anything at first; I kept my mouth shut because I knew what they were trying to do. I felt pressurised into saying something but it came from a card game and not out of nowhere.
‘It was edited in a light that seemed like I had just brought it up. They know what they’re doing and they’re creating entertainment, they’re good at their job lets put in that way!’
Morag was a contestant on ITV dating show Take Me Out in 2018, which caused some viewers to doubt if she was on Married At First Sight for genuine reasons.

She believes every single person that took part in the E4 experiment was aware of the pros and cons starring on a TV show would entail, including her husband Luke Dawson, 36, who slammed her for being ‘fake.’
She said: ‘Every single one of us applied for a TV show. Luke applied, I applied, we all applied, and you know what that’s going to come with.
‘Yes, I wanted to find love but there also needs to be a level of honesty that you’re applying for a TV show.
‘When someone says ‘you’re there for fame’ – they categorise people and say only one person is there for fame and the other person is there for genuine reasons but that is absolute b*******.

‘For me, I believe life is for experiences and I just like to have fun. When I applied for Take Me Out, I had been single for three months and it was a bit of a joke between my friends and me.
‘I made 60 beautiful, amazing girlfriends and it gave me confidence again as a newly single woman. It’s because I did that show that I felt confident going into another. I enjoyed it so why wouldn’t I do it again?’
Morag, who said on her wedding day Luke ‘wasn’t what I ordered’, faced criticism from fellow cast member Matt Jameson, 39, for attempting to change her husband, and dismissing him for not being a ‘manly man.’
But now she claims, after taking Luke shopping for a new wardrobe on the show, he changed on his own, and has even started to get spray tans as part of his new image.

She said: ‘I never asked Luke to change a thing, not one single thing during the process. He did that all on his own.
‘I would never ask anyone to change who they are because I wouldn’t change for anybody.
‘Behind closed doors we had a conversation about a previous a partner of his that he said would never allow him to go shopping or buy skinny jeans or change because of her own insecurities and he said he didn’t treat himself.
‘He asked me “can you take me shopping?” He was having spray tans, sun beds, and that was because of him! I had nothing to do with Luke changing. I just tried to get him out of his shell. He had no self-esteem, no confidence and I always tried to bring that out of him.’
