Meghan King details the ‘excruciating exhaustion’ of motherhood as she celebrates her twin sons Hayes and Hart turning four
Meghan King reflected on motherhood in a heartfelt birthday tribute to her twin sons Hart and Hayes, who she welcomed on June 5, 2018.
In her latest Instagram post on Friday, the 37-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum called the past four years ‘such a ride.’
‘The photos have lessoned since our lives changed and my hands became a little fuller, but looking back on these helps me to lean into the gratitude and bypass the excruciating exhaustion,’ the mom-of-three gushed.

She continued: ‘My loves, Hayes and Hart, you’ve brought immeasurable joy to my life.’
King went on to speak about each of her twins individually, first with Hayes, who she mused has ‘zero interest in toys’ except balls and his ‘calm empathy and sweet cuddles.’
The mother-of-three also praised how he watches out for his ‘brother and quietly ponder life.’

Next, she joked about Hayes’ ‘daily 5am wakeups’ and ‘intense love of’ her ‘above anyone else.’
Additionally, King informed her followers about the toddler’s ‘curious nature’ and ‘deep empathy for others.’
Still the little boy often finds himself ‘wrestling with’ his big sister.
Despite admitting that being a mother-of-three is stressful, she raved about how ‘is getting easier and more fun.’

Earlier this year, she complained that coparenting with ex-husband Jim Edmonds is a ‘struggle’ because her ex ‘hates’ her.

King also shared that the two have not communicated since before Edmonds got engaged to Kortnie O’Connor, in July 2021, and that his new bride-to-be, 37, is ‘the closest thing [she] will ever get to coparenting.’
The Missouri native explained, ‘That’s saying a lot because I don’t communicate with her either.’
The star revealed that the divorce has taken a toll on their kids, saying: ‘I don’t think [the kids] like it. I don’t think they know any different, but I don’t think they like it either. I wish we could discuss things about our children, but we can’t.’
‘It’s horrible,’ King told Us Weekly of their coparenting communication in February. ‘I struggle with communication [with him].’
King and the former baseball player were married in October 2014. They separated after five years of marriage, when Edmonds filed for divorce the day after the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary.
King claimed that Edmonds had been unfaithful with a nanny, which he denied. During the dramatic split, King revealed that her and Edmonds had a threesome with another woman, who was later revealed to be Kortnie O’Connor.
After her divorce from Edmonds, King was married to President Joe Biden’s nephew Cuffe Owens in October 2021.

Unfortunately, the couple separated just two months after the wedding.
The star addressed the shocking split in an Instagram post, writing, ‘I am rattled. … This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I’m shocked and saddened by the way things turned out.’
She went on to say, ‘I am moving forward with my children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams. At this time, I ask for your grace and gentle kindness as I navigate this labyrinth of grief with my family.’
