They are thought to have been dating since 2018 when they met through mutual friends in Los Angeles, including celebrity make-up artist Renee Camilleri.

Their relationship became more serious the following year when Mel returned to the UK for the Spice Girls reunion tour.

It’s claimed that the Leeds-born hairdresser Rory got down on one knee to propose at luxury country hotel Cliveden House in Berkshire with a £100k diamond ring in November 2022.

Mel shares eldest daughter Phoenix, 24, with Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar, who she met in 1998 when he was hired as a dancer for a Spice Girls world tour.

The couple got engaged in May 1998, she announced her pregnancy a month later and they were married that September in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

Their divorce was finalised in 2000.

Scary Spice is also mum to middle daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown, 16, who she co-parents with Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy, 62.

The former couple split in December 2006, with Mel going on to give birth to Angel in April 2007.

On 22 June 2007, a court-ordered DNA test confirmed that Eddie was the child’s father.

Mel also shares her youngest daughter Madison Brown Belafonte, 11, with her second husband, film and TV producer Stephen Belafonte, 48.

The Spice Girls star split from Stephen in 2017 and claimed he had emotionally and physically abused her during their 10-year marriage – something which he has always vehemently denied.

It comes after the star revealed why she lied to fellow Spice Girls about her past abusive relationship in an interview with Women’s Health UK on Thursday.

Mel recalled how her fellow bandmates knew something was up but she admitted she always shunned their questions instead of admitting she was having a tough time.

In the interview, the singer spoke about re-finding her identity after her past relationship ended.

She confessed: ‘The thing that saddens me the most is I was so good at protecting my abuser, that I would lie a lot because I didn’t want anybody to know.

‘The girls chat about where they knew something was going on, but they didn’t know how to have the conversation with me until I left.

‘These days we do talk about it and I know some of them feel a bit guilty but I always say to them this wasn’t your fault.

‘Even if you would try to help me, and I know a few of them did, I would have just completely ignored it or made up a lie for him rather than just admitting to them or to myself that I was in a horrible, domestic violent relationship.’

‘When you come out of any kind of abusive relationship, you come out really lost and broken and the only person that can get you back is you, which takes a lot of understanding and therapy’, Mel recalled.

Luxury: Mel enjoyed a drink as she soaked up the sun while Rory scrolled through his phone

Me is showing off her new-found confidence through her recent lingerie shoot with Pour Moi’s summer collection.

She looked nothing short of sensational in the new shoot for a body confidence campaign as she posed alongside her mum Andrea and daughter Phoenix, 24.

Scary Spice flashed her abs while modelling a series of colourful undergarments for the collection in unedited images.

Her incredible figure didn’t come without hard work, especially since she gained a stone from eating ‘constantly’ during the coronavirus lockdowns.

And while she enjoys getting a sweat on in her home gym, the singer admits she previously used exercise as a means to escape her abusive ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, 48, during their 10 year marriage – claims he denies.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the singer tells how she used her latest project to reclaim her body, her freedom, and her family after being forced away from many of her loved ones for a decade.

‘During Covid, I put on quite a lot of weight on,’ she confesses. ‘About a stone. I was at home a lot just eating constantly and I’d felt comfortable because I wasn’t going out. So I decided at the start of this year that I would just get back to myself.

‘But even when the Spice Girls started, before I got married, I was constantly either going to the gym or eating healthily or doing some juicing. I was really kind of active with taking care of my body and my mind and was getting into a lot of meditation.

‘So, this time around I just literally put myself back there and gave myself some fair but kind of regimented guidelines.’
