Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga and her husband Joey are ready to say goodbye to their lavish home located on the Jersey Shore.

The power couple has listed the sprawling ocean-side retreat that they have been spending their summers enjoying for the past few years for $2.9million.

There is plenty of space at the dwelling located on the Toms River in New Jersey as it has  seven bedrooms and five bathrooms.

One reason they may want to sell: New Jersey has been plagued with hurricanes this summer. In early September, Hurricane Ida flooded much of the state.

The Bravo duo purchased the house in 2019 for $975,000 and heavily renovated it.

Once it was completed, the brunette beauty, 42, had herself photographed in swimsuits while by the swimming pool for glamorous Instagram posts. 

Fans will no doubt recognize the pool and built-in bar as well as the white wood lighthouse decoration nearby.

And husband Joey was seen with their three kids – Antonia, Joey and Gino – while on deck as they played games and posed for family photos.

It has also been the setting for several scenes on The Real Housewives of New Jersey with Joey’s sister Teresa Giudice. Production on season 12 of the show recently wrapped up. 

The home also has a dock where a speedboat can be placed above the water with a lift on Barnegat Bay.

The home, which sits on 2.24 acres, was listed in November of 2009 for $4.1 million but it was taken off the market.

In 2010 it was up for sale again at $3.8 million but there were no takers.

Then again in 2017 the home was listed, that time at $3.5 million, before it was de-listed.

And in 2020, it was put back on the market for approximately $3million, before finally being snapped up for two-and-a-half million.

Despite the heavily reduced price, Gorga, 41, seemed delighted by the sale when she took to Instagram to write, ‘Our family home for the last 12 years is Officially Sold [HEARTBROKEN EMOJI]’.

The home is in the one of the posh neighborhoods of New Jersey called ‘The Pond.’

The power couple bought the home in 2007 for $950,000 and the professional house flipper then went to work to make it a grand mansion.

A nice play to party all night: There is an outdoor bar that seats 10 people easily and is right on deck near the pool

A mini guest house: There is another structure outside which has a kitchen and mini living room

There are a total of 16 rooms in the mansion that has frequently been seen on RHONJ.

The lavish home is rich with upgrades including an English slate roof with copper gutters, an Italian marble foyer, dual marble staircases with wrought-iron banisters, and rounded cedar French doors.

In typically over the top style, the home is covered in chandeliers, carved bookcases, gilded details and domed ceilings.

Two of the bedrooms are decorated for Gorga’s three children – daughter Antonia and sons Gino and Joey – one room is done in pink and another has a sports theme.

Mature trees surround the property which keeps out any sign of neighbors. A back patio is big enough for a dining room table, bar and barbecue area.
