Olivia Attwood has called out influencers claiming they need to travel abroad to work during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The reality star, who found fame on Love Island in 2017, criticised other influencers who have been sending heading overseas while strict restrictions have been enforced by the government in order to control the spread of coronavirus.
England is currently in its third national lockdown and currently international travel is prohibited, unless given a legally permitted reason to do so, such as work.
Influencers travelling overseas for ‘work purposes’ have frustrated fans, with Olivia addressing a meme doing the rounds on social media that jokes over those claiming they have ‘struggled’ during the pandemic, but have been posting pictures of their exotic getaways.
Taking to her Instagram story, Olivia vented her frustration as she hit out at influencers not being transparent about their trips.
‘There’s a difference between being able to earn money from wherever you are and being on holiday for work. Whenever I go on holiday, I will post content which I can monetise, but I’m still on holiday,’ Olivia pointed out.
She continued: ‘I don’t go, “Oh me and [my boyfriend] Brad have had the most amazing week in Portugal, but don’t worry, I was flat out working,” you just sound so stupid.’
‘On top of that you have got the ones going, “Oh we are all in this together, this is our struggle,” no, it’s not. You are on holiday and to be fair I don’t f**king blame you,’ Olivia said.
Not ruling out a trip herself, she admitted: ‘If this goes on for another six months, I’m not going to say that I wouldn’t potentially be tempted to take a trip because I probably f**king would.’
However, Olivia did say that influencers claiming to be working are ‘giving a whole load of people a bad reputation’, especially when some have ‘held their hands up’ and admitted to being on holiday.
She hit back at those she claims have moaned about ‘how hard’ being an influencer is and fired back: ‘People are losing their family members daily, people can’t pay their rent, people’s lifelong businesses they have worked their f**king b******s off for are crumbling around them and you are on your stories on the beach telling us we don’t know how hard it is.’
‘If I decide to bail out of this s**t-show in a few months. don’t all hate on me. I’m not going to say I’m never going away again, but I won’t be telling you I’m going for work, I’m just going to be honest,’ Olivia insisted.

Her rant comes after a string of celebrities have been seen heading abroad, with many sharing snaps on social media from their trips to Dubai.
The United Arab of Emirates has now been removed from the UK’s travel corridor list and as of Tuesday, those returning from the UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will have to quarantine on their return.
Lockdown has been enforced once more as the government takes tougher messages to try and control a new strain of coronavirus spreading across Englad at an ‘alarming’ rate.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UK have now reached over 3.1million, with reports claiming current restrictions could be made tougher if infections continue to rise.
