Paul Bettany puts on a dapper display in rare photos with his sons

‘I cried like a baby!’ Paul Bettany, 50, shares rare photos with sons Kai, 17, and Stellan, 23, after being moved to tears at graduation

Paul Bettany revealed he was moved to tears after attending his middle child Stellan’s graduation.

The 50-year-old WandaVision actor marked the occasion as he shared rare snaps with his 17-year-old on his big day, as well as his eldest son Kai, 23.

And despite being twice their age, Paul looked as though he could have been a brother to his sons as he looked incredibly youthful in the family photos.

Family resemblance: Paul Bettany, 50, revealed he was moved to tears after attending his middle child Stellan’s graduation on Monday

Paul looked dapper in a tan twill suit as he beamed proudly next to Stellan, who wore a all-black suit and tie for his high school graduation.

‘So that happened,’ Paul captioned his snap. ‘The short version is that Stellan graduated and I cried like a baby.’

The actor, whose wife is Jennifer Connelly, 50, showed off a bit of designer stubble while wearing a collarless seersucker shirt and tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Bonding: He also posed with his stepson Kai, whom he raised with his wife Jennifer Connelly, 50, as they got ready for the graduation ceremony

His stepson Kai, 23, whom Jennifer shares with her ex, photographer David Dugan, gave Paul a run for his money with a gray–blue three-piece suit with peaked lapels.

Sharing a snap together, Paul penned: ‘My eldest son kai waits patiently while I try to figure out the timer on my camera… aaaand gets bored before I figure it out … then leaves me solo. Off to graduation now’.

The graduation seemed to have Paul reminiscing, as he then shared a throwback photo cradling baby Stellan in his arms.

Well tailored: Paul joked that Kai was too impatient for him to figure out the self timer, so he included a solo shot of his dapper twill suit

‘Here’s me holding Stellan at about a week old… Today my beautiful kid graduates high school!’ he gushed.

‘Time… My head is spinning. Very proud of everything Stellan has accomplished so far and even more excited about what the future holds. Incidentally this picture was taken on centre court where I won Wimbledon 36 times sooooo take THAT @rogerfederer.’

The photo appeared to have been snapped during the filming of Paul’s 2004 romantic comedy Wimbledon, in which he played a journeyman tennis pro contemplating ending his career as his rank slips, until he’s inspired anew after meeting a rising tennis star, played by Kirsten Dunst.

Journey through the past: Earlier on Monday, the Avengers star shared a sweet photo of himself holding Stellan as a baby on the set of his 2004 romantic comedy Wimbledon

In addition to his sons, Paul also has 10-year-old daughter Agnes with Jennifer.

Paul and Jennifer have a courtship story that seems right out of a movie.

He’s called her his childhood crush after early appearances in Once Upon A Time In America and Labyrinth, but it wasn’t until they worked together on 2001’s A Beautiful Mind that he was able to meet her.

In a 2015 interview with Larry King, Paul confessed to an ‘instant’ attraction to the actress, but it took the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center for him to act on his feelings.

After seeing footage of the terrorist attack while he was in Tuscany, the actor ‘spent two days trying to call this woman that I sort of barely knew,’ as she lived in New York City.

‘I remember very clearly thinking to myself, “What are you doing?”‘ he recounted. ‘I realized I was in love. So I got her on the phone and said, “I’m coming over. Let’s get married.”

Despite the fact that they had never dated, the two were married in 2003 and have been together ever since.

Romance: He shares the boys and 10-year-old Agnes with his wife Jennifer Connelly. The two were married after he expressed his love for her after frantically trying to contact her in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001; seen in 2019 in Paris

Paul was most recently featured on the hit Disney+ series WandaVision opposite Elizabeth Olsen.

They played the Avengers members Vision and Wanda Maximoff in the wake of the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Despite Paul’s character Vision having been killed in that earlier series, he appears to be alive and well in a bizarre world inspired by TV sitcoms of decades past.

He’ll next be seen in the second season of the Amazon Prime anthology series A Very English Scandal. He and Claire Foy star as the Duke and Duchess of Argyll during their tumultuous divorce.

It’s a hit! Paul most recently reprised his Marvel character Vision on the hit Disney+ series WandaVision with his costar Elizabeth Olsen
