Prince Harry's talks with senior members of the Royal family have been "put on hold" due to "constant leaks from the Sussex side," it has been reported.

The 36 year old jetted to the UK last week to attend the funeral on his grandfather Prince Philip, reuniting him with the Royal family for the first time since his and wife Meghan Markle's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

But, despite reports the Duke of Sussex spent time holding conversations with his grandmother The Queen, father Prince Charles, and brother Prince William, it is now alleged the talks were not "meaningful".

The Sun reports conversations have been put on hold after a number of stories about Prince Harry's trip to the UK emerged in the press in the days after he returned to the US.

According to the publication, aides have become "increasingly alarmed at the speed at which details of private family exchanges have emerged."

Since Harry returned to the US, details of his private meetings with The Queen following the funeral, and Meghan and their son Archie's phone call with Her Majesty have been revealed to the press.

It comes as a royal expert has come forward to comment on the family's relationship with Prince Harry, claiming any private conversations had with him or his wife would end up on social media or in the press "in no time".

Royal commentator Angela Levin told The Sun: "I think the Royal Family would be crazy to talk to Meghan and Harry.

"Whenever anything happens to them, big or small, they have to tell the world. They are obsessed with global.

"They should actually just continue their lives. People don’t need to know exactly what they are doing."

Angela continued to be critical of the pair as she claimed that despite their requests for privacy, it's "the last thing they want".

Prince Harry and Meghan have been making headlines on a global scale regardless of them stepping down as working members of the Royal family and moving halfway across the world to start fresh.

Speaking on this, Angela continued: "It's a nonsense. They are desperate that everybody knows what they are doing every minute of the day."

The expert also said she's not sure the rift between the couple and the family can be mended after their interview with Oprah aired in March.

She said: "When they talk about their quarrel or what they feel about the Royal Family, why would anybody speak to them? How can it be repaired?

"I do just think they should be quiet. They should get on with their lives."
