Princess Mary's twins Vincent and Josephine turn 10

Princess Mary of Denmark’s twins Vincent and Josephine celebrate their 10th birthday and release a series of new photos to mark the occasion

She’s a proud mother of four, and on Friday, the youngest children of Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, celebrated their 10th birthday.

The twins were born on January 8, 2011, and to mark the milestone, the Danish royal family released a series of new photos of Vincent and Josephine.

The sweet photos show their close bond, with Vincent wrapping a protective arm around his sister’s shoulders in one of the photos.

Another photo shows them playfully hugging each other, while both smiling happily for the camera.

With her oval face shape and bright smile, Josephine bears a striking resemblance to her Australian-born mother, Mary, 48.

Meanwhile, Vincent is the spitting image of his father, Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, and big brother, Prince Christian, 15.

The siblings have another sister, Princess Isabella, 13.

Mary was born and raised in Tasmania, before meeting Frederik, 52, at a bar in Sydney during the Olympics back in 2000.

Although she initially had no idea who the European royal was, their relationship soon became the stuff of fairytales, and they were married in May 2004.

While they reside at Frederik VIII’s Palace in Denmark, they are frequent visitors to Australia, with Mary often bringing her brood home to see her family.

Early last month, it was revealed Christian had tested positive for coronavirus following an outbreak at his school.

He’s since made a full recovery, and was later seen celebrating Christmas with his parents and siblings.
