Priyanka Chopra beats out stars such as Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez as her beauty brand is named the 2nd biggest in the celebrity world

Priyanka Chopra has managed to beat out a number of A-list stars to bag second place of all the celebrity beauty brands.

The actress and businesswoman, 40, is the owner of haircare company Anomaly – which has reportedly pulled in £429 million this year.

She falls just behind Rihanna’s wildly successful make-up and skincare brand Fenty Beauty, which allegedly made £477 million, according to a report by Cosmetify. 

While Kylie Jenner takes third place with Kylie Cosmetics, before Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez trail behind.

Priyanka launched Anomaly Haircare back in 2021, originally selling in the US before launching it to the Indian market just last year.

The actress, who hails from Jamshedpur, has had a huge success with taking the brand to her home country – with the brand stocked at Nykaa, an Indian online beauty store.

Speaking on the venture, Priyanka previously shared: ‘Nykaa on their platform has 4,000+ products, 450+ haircare brands and we’re in the top 10 in about 3 months. Anomaly comes from an ethos of Indian haircare. It is for the Indian consumer’.

She added to Business Today: ‘I believe in collaborations. Everything in my career has been about collaborations. I work with leaders.’ 

From a range of hair oils to shampoo and conditioners, the brand keeps prices affordable too with products under $10- winning an award from Allure in 2022.

Boasting vegan and sustainable titles, all of the products are chemical-free too – using natural ingredients such as rosemary oil.

While Priyanka is one of the highest paid actresses and the wife of Nick Jonas, she is also quite the business tycoon.

She owns seven businesses, including brand Sona Home and production company Purple Pebble Pictures, while also investing in a number of companies.

The mother-of-one invested in dating app Bumble in 2018 and also became an advisor for its India launch.

Recently, Priyanka opened up about her decision to leave Bollywood, admitting she had ‘beef’ with people in the industry. 

The Indian actress started out as a Bollywood star in the Noughties but moved to America in 2015 when she took on a leading role in Quantico. 

Discussing her decision to move to Hollywood, the mother-of-one confessed that while she enjoyed working on Bollywood projects, she struggled with the people. 

Speaking on Dax Shephard’s Armchair Expert podcast she shared: ‘I’ve never said this so I’m going to say it because you’ll make me feel safe.’

‘I was being pushed into a corner in the industry. I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.’

The former Miss World made her Bollywood debut in 2003’s The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, with her breakout role coming the following year in romantic thriller Aitraaz.

She also built up a prominent fan base with her roles in Fashion, Barfi! and Mary Kom
