Reese Witherspoon addresses THAT viral photo with Nicole Kidman

Reese Witherspoon finally reveals the truth behind THAT viral photo of Nicole Kidman towering over her

Last month a photo of Nicole Kidman towering over her tiny Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon went viral.

And now Reese, 46, has finally responded to the photo via a Monday Instagram post.

The Oscar-winning actress addressed a repost of the photo in an account run by The Office star Rainn Wilson.

Uncanny valley: Last month a photo of Nicole Kidman towering over her tiny Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon went viral. L-R: Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley

In the image, Reese and co-star Zoe Kravitz are dwarfed by actresses Kidman and Shailene Woodley.

It had been photoshopped to exaggerate the height of the actresses, with the original 2017 photo showing much less physical disparity between the Big Little Lies stars.

However despite it clearly having been doctored, Reese joked that she had undertaken ‘extensive research’ into the image’s authenticity.

‘After extensive research, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is a classic case of short people problems,’ wrote the Walk The Line star, adding a shrug emoji.

The post comes after Witherspoon bought a professional soccer team.

The Legally Blonde actress recently joined the ownership group of Major League Soccer’s Nashville team, Nashville SC.

Having a ball: Witherspoon was seen having some fun earlier this month. The star was at a game with her husband Jim Toth as well as her two sons Deacon and Tennessee

Witherspoon’s husband, agent and investor Toth, also has joined the ownership group, the team said in April.

The soccer team started play in 2020 at Nissan Stadium and played its first eight league games on the road this season before it opens the new venue with a game against Philadelphia.

Witherspoon, who grew up in the Nashville area, attended a game with her husband Jim Toth as well as her two sons Deacon, 18,  and Tennessee, nine, earlier this month.

‘As a Tennessee native, it is thrilling to see how much growth and development has come to our home state,’ she said in a statement.

‘The opportunity to go as a family and watch a world-class team compete has been such an incredible experience.’

Cheers to this: Reese was also seen on Instagram plugging her new role in the soccer world
