Eamonn Holmes has made a number of revelations about former This Morning host Phillip Schofield, following the revelation that he embarked on an affair with a young runner on the show.
After announcing his resignation from the show last week, Monday night saw Phillip, 61, slam those accusing the show of harbouring a "toxic" environment in a statement posted to Instagram.
Sitting down with fellow GB News frontman Dan Wootton on Monday night though, Eamonn vowed to "tell the real story" about what went on behind the scenes.
During the chat, Eamonn revealed that his wife Ruth Langsford, 63, is still in contact with Phillip's young lover and life is tough for the young man.
During the interview, 63 year old Eamonn said: "Ruth is still in touch with Phillip's young lover – life is tough for him."
Eamonn also explained how the young man used to seek comfort from him and Ruth, saying: "Phillip's young lover would seek comfort from me and Ruth – he felt alone [and] in a bad way.
"Ruth and I particularly looked after him, he never once talked to us about any relationship, but we knew he was in a bad way.
"There’s an incredible duty of care that needs to go towards that young man,: he added.
A clearly frustrated Eamonn even addressed Phillip directly, as he looked at the camera and said: "I think Phillip is absolutely right about toxicity, but my friend the toxicity is not about me, Dan Wootton or anyone else, the toxicity is with you, and your mates in management, and everyone who kept you in an abuse of power for so long."
He added: "If I'm guilty of anything, it's speaking up for all those researchers who you ignored, all those producers who you treated like dirt, all those people who are texting and phoning me and Dan Wootton and saying 'We now feel empowered to come out and tell the public the truth'."
Eamonn didn't stop there either, and also took aim at Phillip's co-host Holly Willoughby, 42.
The GB news star said: "Holly should follow Phillip out the door – she'll never return to that couch."
Holly is currently on a break from This Morning and due to return with an as-yet-unannounced co-presenter next week.
