Simon Cowell, 61, continues to display his 20lbs weight loss in padded jacket and jeans as he goes for a chilly walk

He famously dropped 20lbs after adopting a healthier vegan lifestyle.

And despite recovering from breaking his back after falling off an e-bike, Simon Cowell, 61, continued to display his slim frame on Thursday.

The music mogul was wrapped up against the cold for his wintry walk with a female friend, wearing a black padded jacket and his famous bootcut jeans and jeans.

Healthy lifestyle: Simon’s fellow BGT judge Amanda Holden has previously said his weight loss is also the result of him switching to ‘skinny lager’ (pictured right in September 2018)

Leaving nothing to chance, he wore a face mask, but his features were easily distinguishable.

In August, Simon was rushed to hospital to undergo six hours of surgery after breaking his back in an electric bike accident, forcing him to cancel all his planned TV work for the rest of the year.

The X Factor judge has been staying in LA while he recovered from his accident, but he was seen looking happy and healthy in Barbados for a family trip last month.

Quite a difference: Simon has shed more than 20Ibs in weight thanks to a fastidious vegan diet, which he changed in order to keep up with son Eric – (pictured in 2018 – right)

Rest and relaxation: The X Factor judge has been staying in LA while he recovered from his accident, but he was seen looking happy and healthy in Barbados for a family trip last month.

The accident occurred when the powerful machine ‘flew up in the air and did an accidental wheelie’ after he tried to change gears.

The music boss is thought to have been ‘surprised by the power’ of the bike and knew immediately that he ‘was in trouble’.

Following the accident, Simon tweeted: ‘Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time.’

He went on: ‘I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.’

A shame: It seems as though he will have a little more time to recuperate because this year’s Britain’s Got Cancelled has been axed amid the coronavirus pandemic

Changing plans: Bosses of the show said that despite the efforts of the teams at ITV, Thames and head judge Cowell’s Syco, they were forced to call plans off

He then added in a second tweet: ‘And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Stay safe everyone Simon.’

Bosses of the show said that despite the efforts of the teams at ITV, Thames and head judge Cowell’s Syco, they were forced to call plans off.

They said: ‘With our absolute priority of safeguarding the well-being and health of every person involved in the programme from judges, hosts and contestants to all of the crew and audience, the decision has been made to – unfortunately – move the record and broadcast of the 15th series of Britain’s Got Talent to 2022…

‘Safety has to come first and, as a result, the recording of the show can’t currently go ahead as planned.’
