Steph Curry's wife Ayesha responds to 'ridiculous' open marriage rumor

Steph Curry’s wife Ayesha slams ‘ridiculous’ open marriage rumors: ‘Don’t disrespect my marriage like that’

Ayesha Curry shut down chatter that she and NBA husband Steph Curry had an ‘open marriage’ on Monday.

The 32-year-old cookbook author called rumors about her marriage with the 33-year-old NBA player ‘ridiculous’ while responding to a social media troll.

Talk about the pair’s relationship status first began with a blind item on DeuxMoi, after a tipster said that both Ayesha and Steph have ‘hookups and flings’ on the side.

Shutting it down: Ayesha Curry, 32, slammed rumors that she and NBA husband Steph Curry, 33, have an open marriage as she called chatter ‘ridiculous’ while responding to a troll on Instagram; pictured September 2021

Ayesha had posted a shot of the famed Golden State Warrior gracing the cover of GQ on Monday, with the caption: ‘Good gracious God almighty @stephencurry30 … my baby’s @gq cover shoot.’

A social media troll commented on her swooning post: ‘But yet you still want an open relationship smh. If I were him you woulda been sent to the streets already.’

Having zero tolerance for the rude comment, she responded back: ‘Don’t believe everything you read. Do you know how ridiculous that is? Don’t disrespect my marriage like that. Please and thank you.’

The couple first met as teenagers and got married in 2011, before renewing their vows this past September. They share three kids together: daughters Riley, nine, Ryan, six, and son Canon, three.

Rumors: Talk about the pair’s relationship first began with a blind item on DeuxMoi, after a tipster said that both Ayesha and Steph have ‘hookups and flings’ on the side despite presenting themselves as a picture perfect married couple

Despite their enviable marriage and family life, several DeuxMoi tipsters had written in claiming it was somewhat of a facade.

‘Have it on very good authority that this well known NBA couple aren’t as faithful and in love as their social media and image makes them out to be!,’ an anonymous user wrote.

‘They both have side hookups and flings but keep it very private to keep up the perfect family image they show to the world. I was shocked to learn, they’ve been together for so long.’

Though the blind item did not disclose the names of the pair in question, fans were quick to connect the dots by way of a fake email address used for the submission and the subject line.

Blind item: The DeuxMoi post did not outright say it was the couple as customary on blind submissions, but fans were quick to connect the dots by way of a fake email address used for the submission and the subject line which nodded to her cooking line and him being a Golden State Warrior

The email address read ‘not so golden’ (a nod to it being a Golden State Warrior) and the subject line stated: ‘Chefs on and off the court’ (a nod to Ayesha being a cookbook author and cooking show fixture).

Prior to the online chatter, a TikTok video described an alleged encounter with what was assumed to be the pair which cast doubt on the relationship.

The user had received the submission from someone interning at a high profile law firm with celebrity clients, who described how the pair came in to discuss the launch of a furniture line — which Ayesha has.

The couple had reportedly argued over the launch dates, and following the meeting another member at the firm had claimed that the marriage was for show and both were dating other people.

The validity of that story has not been confirmed, but was prompted by the caption, ‘2nd time I’m hearing about this.’
