They’re one of the hardest-working couples in showbusiness, racking up a number of TV appearances, radio work and fitness projects between them.
But now Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have a new passion project that will bring them back together amid their busy schedules.
The couple, who tied the knot in May 2015, recently sold their Essex home and began work on a £1.3 million “dream” mansion. And a source close to the couple told new that they’re so happy to be starting a new chapter together.

“This house really is Mark and Michelle’s passion project. It’s going to keep them busy, as it’s like their baby. They’ve brought
in parts of what they both love to make it their perfect home.”
The couple purchased a farmhouse in the Essex countryside in 2019 that has now been demolished to make way for a newly built home.
They’ve shared their plans for the huge country pile on their newly created Instagram page, touting it as a “modern” and “white” version of a classic Georgian house. The mansion will come complete with a bar, a gym and an outdoor swimming pool.

Michelle Keegan denies rumours of ‘marriage problems’ with husband Mark Wright: ‘I find it ridiculous’
Work has already begun on the property’s brickwork, but as it’s likely to take months to complete, the couple will have plenty of time to discuss final details such as decor.
And according to our source, planning their forever home has brought them “closer together”.
“Things are going really well for Mark and Michelle. Mark is feeling more settled now that he’s not in LA,” our source explained. “Michelle also worked away often and they spent a lot of time apart. When you’re not together, it’s hard to sustain a relationship, but they managed to do it and they’re closer than ever now. It has been a stressful time– especially for Mark recently – but they’re so happy.”
It’s been an extremely busy year for both the stars in their respective professions. Former Corrie star Michelle, 33, has been away filming for the next series of Brassic in Manchester.

Meanwhile, since he returned to the UK from his stint in LA in 2019, Mark, 34, has been working hard on his own career. As well as working weeknight evenings as a DJ on Heart FM, Mark returned to his football roots, signing for Crawley Town FC last year.
And if that wasn’t enough, he’s also launched a fitness app, Train Wright, with his brother Josh.
And as the couple work to complete their fairy-tale house, they’ll be able to spend more time at home together. But whether
the couple and their two dogs – dachshund Phoebe and Chihuahua Pip – will be joined by the pitter-patter of little feet in their new dream home remains to be seen.
In fact, Michelle admitted recently that she was sick of people asking when she’ll start a family.

“I get asked about children, whereas Mark wouldn’t. Why haven’t I had a child? When am I going to have a child? I don’t know what they want me to say. I don’t know what the right or wrong answer is,” she fumed.
Still, whatever path the couple choose, they’ll have their home project to work on together. “It’s been a long process so far,” the couple explained in a recent Instagram update. “
And still a long way to go – but sooner or later, we will have the house we could only ever dreamed of.”
