The Weeknd has dropped his widely-anticipated single “Take My Breath”, the first single from his forthcoming album, a follow-up to his blockbuster After Hours.
The song was accompanied by a video that was directed by Cliqua and produced by Roisín Audrey Moloney with Somesuch. However, the video comes with a warning for epileptics due to its intense strobing effects, according to Billboard.
The video, which was scheduled to air in IMAX theaters before The Suicide Squad this week, was pulled due the issue.
In the clip, the Weeknd visits a nightclub, where he dances with a woman with a long braid and takes breaths from an oxygen tank. He is eventually strangled by the woman with her hair.
Meanwhile, the Weeknd’s last album After Hours was his fourth No. 1 album in the United States and is certified double platinum by the RIAA with over 15.7 billion streams.
