Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker was bundled into an ambulance in Los Angeles last night and taken to hospital after suffering an as yet unknown health issue. Travis, 46, made a desperate plea, saying, “God save me” via his Twitter page in the aftermath, as wife Kourtney Kardashian, 43, stood vigil beside him.

Fans online have been questioning whether the tweet “God save me” might be an intentional reference to a song by his close friend Machine Gun Kelly, who is dating actress Megan Fox.

The song of the same name features lyrics depicting an orphaned teenage boy of 16 struggling with mental health issues.

The lyrics refer to phone-tapping, a “mental imbalance” and a troubled relationship with drugs.

It is not known if Travis’ tweet has any connection to the song.

Travis’ son, Landon Asher Barker, 18, was performing onstage in New York with Machine Gun Kelly at the time that his dad was experiencing his medical battle.

Landon shared a rendition of the group’s song ‘Die In California’ afterwards on Instagram.

Meanwhile, fans have shared thoughts and prayers for Travis’ recovery.

The Blink 182 favourite’s last Instagram post before his hospital dash features him pouting at a puppy in his arms, with the caption: “I love dogs more than people.”

The rock star is reported to have already made a trip to hospital earlier that day before returning in the evening in the emergency ambulance.

Meanwhile, Alabama Barker, the star’s daughter from a previous relationship, also spoke out, telling her Instagram followers: “please send your prayers”.

Kourtney could be seen hurrying along beside the paramedics in photos obtained by TMZ, as her husband was lifted from the ambulance via a gurney and rushed into the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre.

The casually dressed star was wearing a black tracksuit with a hood pulled up over her head when her beau’s hospital dash took place.

There has been no word from the star on her social media accounts since the incident, so her 186 million followers will have to wait until an announcement is made.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Kourtney and Travis for comment.

However, just over a week earlier, the reality star posted a photo to her account of herself and Travis preparing to enjoy a midnight snack from the fridge.

Kourtney grinned broadly as she relaxed in her husband’s lap, wearing a red satin dressing gown and sheer black hold-up stockings, while grabbing a selection of snack packets.

Tattooed Travis looked equally happy as he reclined in his satin pyjamas and rested a hand on his wife’s thigh.

Meanwhile, the performer has posted photos from their partnership campaign with Daring Foods on his own account too.

In one, the pair sit facing each other in a bubble bath while Travis glugs champagne, surrounded by food.

In another, he seductively feeds his wife from a plate while she sits on a kitchen countertop in a red and black snakeskin print playsuit.

The pair were married in an exclusive ceremony in Portofino, Italy, last month following a longstanding friendship and whirlwind romance.
