Tristan Thompson’s first baby mama is seeking to garnish his hefty paychecks from the NBA after claiming he owes hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support, can reveal.

In court documents filed last month, Jordan Briani Craig, the mother of the basketball player’s six-year-old son Prince, accused the father-of-four of being behind on the monthly payments to the tune of $224,000.

The athlete, 32, was revealed to have been doling out $40,000 every month to his ex since April 2019 after the former couple had reached a child support settlement that year, reported in August.

But in a declaration submitted on September 13 to a Los Angeles court and obtained by, Craig revealed that Thompson has only been making ‘either partial payments or missing child support payments altogether,’ since November 2022.

Tristan Thompson is accused of being behind $224,000 in child support payments for his first child, Prince. He is pictured holding True, his daughter with Khloe Kardashian in June 2022

In court filings obtained by, Craig claims Thompson has only made partial payments – or missed payments – for six-year-old Prince’s child support since November 2022

A list included in the filing of payments made over the ten-month period show Thompson only sent half the required amount in November, paid in full the following month, and nothing in January.

From February to July, he made six payments of $14,500, with his largest payment being $29,000, in August.

The mom-of-one is now asking the court to withhold the athlete’s income from the Cleveland Cavaliers – where he made his 2011 NBA debut and played for nine seasons until moving to the Boston Celtics in 2020.

Thompson rejoined the team earlier this year after reportedly signing a $2.7million annual contract – a far cry from the $17.7million he was making when the child support order was first made.

Craig is demanding an order to withhold his earnings in the amount of $80,000 a month, ‘and to stay in effect until the arrears are satisfied’, according to the filings.

‘It is my belief that Tristan signed a ‘veteran’s minimum’ contract with the Cavaliers that pays him $2.7million per year. The $80,000 request is certainly less than half of his monthly salary,’ her declaration states.

Craig has not spoken out publicly about her ex and his alleged failure to support their child, however, her sister, Prince’s aunt Kai Cyre, earlier this month slammed the Thompson for being an absentee father after he was praised for his parenting by Kim Kardashian.

Cyre, 31, took to Instagram on October 5 to express her displeasure for what she says is a lack of time, attention and financial resources Thompson, 32, has earmarked for his first-born child.

She told her 255,000-plus Instagram followers that she broke with her usual protocol of not publicly commenting on the topic after seeing how Thompson – who is father to three other children – has been publicly portrayed as a loving parent.

‘It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy I haven’t for over seven years, but this is just too much,’ said the nurse.

Cyre said that ‘it’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others, but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew, Prince.

‘The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, he never sees, or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable.’

Cyre called out Kim for praising Thompson’s parenting skills on the latest episode of the family’s Hulu series The Kardashians.

Craig sought to re-enforce the monthly payments in an  ‘abstract of judgment’ filed in Los Angeles in August

‘Kim Kardashian, I don’t want you to believe that you are this insensitive to the fact that he literally ignores his children,’ she said. ‘That’s nice if he’s been a good friend to you, but let’s consider our sisters before taking to global platforms to defend this man’s character.’

Cyre said that the professional basketball player, who re-signed with his longtime team the Cleveland Cavaliers last month, has been delinquent in paying his child support for Prince.

‘Tristan has not paid the child support in a very long time and has stopped paying Prince’s school tuition,’ she said. ‘Yet he’s being applauded for picking up/dropping off other kids to school/activities.

Cyre said Thompson ‘hasn’t even inquired where Prince goes to school now.’

She credited her sibling for her working ‘multiple jobs’ so that ‘Prince will never have to feel a difference’ in his standard of living.

Cyre concluded in saying, ‘Regardless, stepping up for your son is not all about money it’s about the time spent. [Tristan] you are NOT a good father if you can’t be a good father to ALL of your children.’

The controversial social media post came after this week’s edition of The Kardashians, on which Kim revealed the real reason as to why she is still friends with her sister’s cheating ex-boyfriend Thompson .

Earlier this month, Craig’s sister Kai Cyre spoke out against Thompson and accused him of being an absentee father after the athlete – who has three other children  – was publicly portrayed as a loving father

Cyre, 31, advised Kim Kardashian, 42, against publicly praising his parenting, in an Instagram post

In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim claimed Tristan had ‘stepped up’ for her as a single mother after her split from Kanye West

Tristan dated Kim’s sister Khloe, 39, on and off from 2016 to 2021, but was hit with multiple cheating allegations when Khloe was pregnant with their daughter True, who is now five-years-old.

Khloe forgave him but sadly in February 2019, news broke that Thompson kissed Jordyn Woods at a party in Los Angeles.

The pair patched things up but two days but decided to call it quits in June 2021.

By the end of that year, Maralee Nichols revealed she was pregnant with his child. In August 2022, Khloe welcomed her son, Tatum, via surrogate.

But, Kim has now rushed to the basketball player’s defense, admitting he is a ‘really good person’.

Speaking on an episode of The Kardashians earlier this month, Kim also revealed how Tristan ‘stepped up’ for her as a single mother, after her split from ex-husband Kanye West.

She explained: ‘Oh, I know guys are gonna hate me for this and you’re gonna hate us and you’re gonna think Khloe is whatever… It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good like dad… but he just couldn’t get it together in that area, of like being a faithful boyfriend,’ Kim said.
