Maralee Nichols wanted everyone to know that she was the mother of Tristan Thompson’s son Theo in a proud Instagram post from Monday.
‘Theo’s mom,’ she captioned her post, which included a photo of her glimpsed from behind as she turned her head back toward the camera.
The post marked her return to the platform after more than a month, and it came less than a week after it was reported that Tristan would be having a second child with his ex Khloé Kardashian via surrogate.

In her photo, Maralee wore a cropped white tank top and paired it with a set of high-waisted light blue jeans.
She styled her long brunette hair with a middle part and let it lie straight down her back.
Her previous Instagram posts came from early June, when she celebrated a milestone birthday for her baby son Theo.
She held the little boy, who was only seen from behind, as they gazed at a giraffe compound at the San Diego Zoo.

‘Can’t believe my baby is 6 months old,’ she gushed in her caption. ‘Theo’s first time at the zoo, he loved looking at all the animals.’
It was revealed in December that Maralee had welcomed her son, which was reported to be Tristan’s child.
But it wasn’t until the following month that the NBA player owned up to having a son with her in a statement, which also included an apology to his ex Khloé.
Last month, sources told Us Weekly that the athlete had ‘no immediate plans’ to see his son.
‘Tristan is very absent from Theo’s life. He hasn’t met Theo nor has he initiated any meetings,’ one source claimed. ‘He doesn’t have any immediate plans to meet his son face to face.’

It’s not clear if Maralee’s return to Instagram was motivated by the news that Khloé and Tristan are expecting a second child via surrogate.
E! News reported last week that the Kardashians star tried to keep the news secret for as long as possible in order to protect her mental health. After the impending birth was reported, social media commenters lambasted the reality star for having a second child with her ex due to his serial cheating and his secret child with Nichols.
The child — whom Page Six reported is a boy — was reportedly conceived in November, a month before it was revealed that Tristan had fathered a child on the side.
The news doesn’t seem to have thrown off Khloé too much, as she shared some gorgeous photos of herself swimming with her daughter True, four, in a tropical paradise on Tuesday.
‘Me and my best girl making the best memories. I will forever have your back my angel girl,’ she wrote lovingly, adding a heart to cap off her caption.
The Revenge Body star flaunted her incredible figure in a camouflage one-piece swimsuit while wearing chunky black sunglasses.
