‘Disgusted’: Victoria Beckham has revealed her daughter Harper is not a fan of her outfits from when she was part of the Spice Girls

Speaking to the publication, Victoria explained that both her 10-year-old daughter and husband David, 47, think her fashion was too daring back in the day.

Victoria revealed of Harper: ‘She’s not one of these kids who are going out with a full face of make-up and a crop top.

‘She actually said to me recently, “Mummy, I’ve seen some pictures of you when you were in the Spice Girls and your skirts were just unacceptable. They were just too short.”

Too short: Speaking to the publication, she explained that both her 10-year-old daughter and husband David, 47, think her fashion was too daring back in the day (pictured in 1997 at Brit Awards)

Then David piped up and said, “Absolutely, Harper! They really, really were.” And she was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were.

‘I said, “Are you never going to wear skirts like that?” She said, “Absolutely not.” We’ll see.’

Victoria added that she worries about Harper when it comes to body image and how she will deal with it.

Appalled: ‘David piped up and said, “Absolutely, Harper! They really, really were.” And she was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were’

She explained: ‘Harper isn’t on social media, so we don’t have to worry about that just yet. But seeing how cruel people can be, yes it really does [concern me].

‘She’s at that age where her body is going to start changing, but it’s about making sure that we communicate a lot as a family and she surrounds herself with nice friends.

She admitted: ‘But it is quite terrifying, I can’t lie.’

As for her other children, Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 17, she opened up about her concerns for them with choosing careers in the public eye.

Victoria said: ‘You want to offer your support and do what you can to help them. But it makes you a bit nervous because, you know… you don’t ever want anybody to be anything other than kind and love what your children do.’

Speaking on her marriage to David, she added: ‘We are still very close. We love each other. He’s my everything.

‘And after all these years, we’re still up at the crack of dawn planting Easter eggs for the kids who are now actually adults, other than Harper, because that’s the kind of parents we have always been.’

The former Posh Spice spoke about the media obsession with her body shape, saying: ‘I’ve had ‘Porky Posh’, I’ve had ‘Skeletal Posh’.

‘After I had Brooklyn, there was a picture pointing to every single part of my body where I had to focus on losing the weight from.’

She went on: ‘I went on a TV show with Chris Evans many years ago and I’d just had Brooklyn and lost a lot of weight after.

‘It happened to my mum after her pregnancies. It doesn’t mean you have an eating disorder. And he made me stand on the scales to be weighed. Can you imagine doing that nowadays?’
