Zendaya stuns at the Oscars in $6M diamonds and custom Valentino

Zendaya proves to be the brightest star at the Oscars wearing $6M diamonds and a custom Valentino cutout gown

She certainly knows how to make an entrance.

And all eyes were on Zendaya as she stunned in a vibrant yellow Valentino gown while walking the pink carpet of the 93rd Academy Awards at Union Station on Sunday night in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old actress looked effortlessly chic in the radiant cutout dress which hugged her figure before sweeping down into a dramatic train as she showed off $6million worth of diamonds.

Bold and beautiful: All eyes were on Zendaya as she stunned in a vibrant yellow Valentino gown while walking the pink carpet of the 93rd Academy Awards at Union Station on Sunday night in Los Angeles

Zendaya’s yellow strapless gown featured a sweetheart neckline with a cutout across her stomach and fabric ruched across her waist.

Her stylist and image architect, Law Roach, coined the glamorous ensemble ‘neon dream’ on Instagram.

She added inches to her statuesque frame with a pair of peep-toe Jimmy Choo platforms.

Wow! The Euphoria star was dripping in diamonds, specifically 183 carats of yellow diamond Bulgari jewels from the label’s new Magnifica collection

The Euphoria star was dripping in diamonds, specifically 183 carats of yellow diamond Bulgari jewels from the label’s new Magnifica collection.

‘The Bulgari jewelry takes the look to a whole place that we weren’t expecting,’ Roach told PEOPLE magazine. ‘The jewelry is the star of the look. It feels cool, modern, young and really quite beautiful.’

Her jewels included a 30-carat yellow diamond ring, brooch and tassel collar necklace, pear-cut diamond earrings and an emerald-cut diamond ring.

Roach noted that her awards night ensemble was ‘a really glamorous, boho chic look’ and added: ‘She’s a fashion girl and after so many looks together, we have this unquestionable trust. We like to have fun with fashion and create looks that people will talk about.’

He paid homage to a ‘constant inspiration’ as he shared a photo of the legendary performer, Cher, in a bright yellow ensemble similar to Zendaya’s on Instagram.

Zendaya’s makeup artist Sheika Daley also went for a boho look, explaining that she focused on ‘clean, fresh skin’ for the evening.

Zendaya’s makeup artist Sheika Daley also went for a boho look, explaining that she focused on ‘clean, fresh skin’ for the evening.

‘The makeup look was very boho chic with clean, fresh skin and a natural look,’ Sheika explained. ‘The dress color was so bold we wanted to keep the makeup neutral with a lot of flesh tones.’

To achieve this, the beauty pro used skincare by Lancôme — a brand for which Zendaya serves as a spokesmodel — to prep the actress’ skin, including the brand’s newly-released Clarifique Face Essence ‘for extra hydration and radiance’.

She then applied the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation and the Teint Idole Ultra Stick to perfect Zendaya’s complexion, before adding some extra glow with the Dual Finish Highlighter.

‘The Bulgari jewelry takes the look to a whole place that we weren’t expecting,’ Roach told PEOPLE magazine. ‘The jewelry is the star of the look. It feels cool, modern, young and really quite beautiful’

A matching moment: Zendaya rocked a color-coordinated face mask to protect herself amid the COVID-19 pandemic

The red carpet looked similar to last year’s event except there were far fewer people and social distancing restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has allowed only 170 people to attend this year rather than the normal 3,000.

This marks the first time Tinseltown’s finest have assembled in over a year, for a three-hour show that co-producer Steven Soderbergh has described as being ‘like a movie.’

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is hosting the delayed ceremony at the historic Union Station in Los Angeles, California where socially distanced movie stars can go mask-free while on-camera or seated in the main show room.

Built in 1939, the national historic landmark and its main terminal is 161,000 square feet, creating plenty of room for theatrics on Hollywood’s biggest night.
