‘After 10 joyous years I am waltzing away’: Zoe Ball announces she has QUIT Strictly It Takes Two as she reveals ‘new challenges’ are in store
Zoe Ball has announced she has quit Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two after ten years.
The presenter, 50, has hosted the after show for the last decade but has decided to move on to pastures new after joining the show in 2011 when Claudia Winklemen left to host the main show with Tess Daly.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Zoe shared a series of behind the scenes snaps from her time on the BBC series as she paid tribute to the cast and crew.

She wrote: ‘Dance lovers, after 10 joyous years I am waltzing away from It Takes Two. As a massive @bbcstrictly fan I have loved spending my Autumn teatimes with the celebrity dancers, the gorgeous & awesome pro dancers, the judges, my girl Vicky Gill, Rylan, Gethin & of course my main man Ian Waite.
‘Time now for some new cha cha challenges. I will continue to support the Strictly family on the Breakfast Show & can’t wait to watch the Class Of 2021 from my sofa.
‘Huge love & grateful thanks to Tess & Claude & the whole Strictly clan, the ITT fans, my Glam Squad, Eve Winstanley, Alex McLeod, the BBC2 gang, & of course the best telly crew ever. I will miss you all immensely. As Iveta would say ‘Friends for the life’ xx’.
Zoe, who was a contestant on the third series of Strictly, most recently co-hosted It Takes Two alongside Rylan Clark-Neal who joined the show last year.

Main show host Tess Daly wrote: ‘Oh nooo..We will miss you SO so much! Loved every minute watching you on the show; laughing along with you and watching you get teary-eyed every now and then because your gorgeous big heart was bursting for them. You are just BRILLIANT XXXX’.
Former pro Kevin Clifton wrote: ‘It Takes Two was always my favourite bit. I loved chatting and bein silly with u on the sofa. Thank you for being so kind , generous and supportive with all of us. You’re the best.’
Kevin’s girlfriend and series 16 winner Stacey Dooley added: MY GOD. A LEGEND IS LEAVIN THE BUILDING. The kindest woman in tele. We love you Zoeeeeeeee’.

Zoe was partnered with dancer Ian Waite during the third series and made it to the final night, finishing in third place behind Colin Jackson and winner Darren Gough.
Strictly Come Dancing and It Takes Two will return to BBC One and BBC Two in September.
